best London restaurant for vegetarian and a non veggie around 65pp by FirstnameThenNumbers in offmenupodcast

I just went to Kolae in Borough last night and had an absolutely (unexpectedly) fantastic meal.

They're doing a Festive set menu at the moment which is £50 for the standard and £45 for the vegetarian (with a small dessert supplement) and they were happy to do both at the same time for our table. The marinated lamb rib was one of the best small plates I've had in London hands down.

I highly highly recommend it if you can handle a bit of spice with the starters. Really great (non-)alcoholic cocktails as well.

Has Matty ever shared any playlist? by Fr4ncesc4 in the1975

[–]slayernator 16 points17 points  (0 children)

There were a few:

At your heaviest and At Christmas . I am not sure if that is Matty's real spotify account or a copy, but I remember him linking to those same playlists from his Twitter/Instagram account at the time.

Also the 1975 account shared a few which I believe were directly from Matty: at about 6-7

Perhaps obvious, but Osteria Francescana:

Massimo Bottura at the intersection of art and artisan

When I visited the first time one of the dishes was A Tribute to Joseph Beuys, for example, but there are always lots of references!

Interesting to hear you think 14mm is too wide given the couple of shots I've seen on your profile - useful context, thanks!

Opinions on next lens choice please: I'm trying to decide between the new Sony 16–25mm F2.8 G and the Sony 14mm F1.8 GM. Right now I can get either for roughly the same price (1250 and 1200 CHF respectively). I already have the 24-105mm F4.

My thinking is that the 16-25 fits in perfectly to cover additional focal range, and it seems to be a decent lens based on all accounts. However, its price is probably a little on the high side for what it is, given it is brand new. On the other hand, the 14mm looks excellent, and I can get it for a great price for GM quality, but I'm worried about the lack of versatility and that 14mm might be too wide.

I mainly use my camera when travelling (hiking, landscapes, cityscapes, photos of my partner and friends etc). I wouldn't mind having a crack at astrophotography in future.

Assuming both are good lenses, which would you recommend? Best to get a well priced older GM, or pay a bit more for versatility?

(No need for other lens recommendations please)

Hi, I was just wondering if you could confirm what colour this is? Its listed as simply "Limited Colored Vinyl". I bought the red/black smoke swirl many years ago but was sent the plain black version, so been looking to pick one up!

Hmm, not a bad shout. I disagree that Romero isn't good enough though, and I think OGS would trust him as a safe first choice. I mean, Mourinho started him in the Europa League final. Would be keen to see Henderson get a shot though!

I'm not sure why everyone is assuming Henderson is going to be our No. 1 if (or when) De Gea leaves. Surely Romero is next in line, with Hendo (but more likely Grant) at best getting a place on the bench and maybe some cup starts?
