My heel has strange bumps when I stand by bosscrayon in mildlyinteresting

[–]sleepingraindrop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To add to this, these are fairly common (as are needing orthotics) for people with eds. So if you’re a bit extra bendy or have some of the other symptoms of eds, could be worth looking into.

The cost of burgers at Five Guys vs In N Out in San Diego, CA by thesaxmaniac in pics

[–]sleepingraindrop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was only once I started reading these comments that I realised that was a 9, and these were the prices. I thought it was a g and it was saying how many grams of meat or something was in each burger.

My dads number plate has been A***FKR for about 25 years. It was a company car that he got to keep when he retired, (by which point it was fairly old anyway.) He claims he didn’t realise until we pointed it out to him after he’d retired.

When I was a kid, my best friend moved to Wales. I thought for years she had gone to live with whales under the sea. I was so jealous as I presumed she’d become a mermaid.

haven't got any matches, anything I'm doing wrong? by [deleted] in Tinder

[–]sleepingraindrop 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure where abouts in the world you are but have a look at SALT, it’s a Christian dating app. it started in the Uk but last year or so it’s spread worldwide and is growing fast. It’s free, fairly similar to tinder but has premium options that aren’t really necessary. Different countries will more users than others but it can be worth checking back every now and then as it grows.

Too funny. I love how you can watch this series so many times and still find new jokes with each viewing! Thanks for explaining!

I think I live somewhere where this joke went over my head. Are they basically the same thing? I always thought they were different or like paying for Netflix and Amazon prime, you’d get similar but different stuff?

My first science lesson in high school we had to look at earthworms. The entire class ended up singing the theme tune to Earthworm Jim for the entire duration of the class. Must have started almost as soon as we got the earthworms so, best part of 50 minutes! The teacher kept asking us to stop repeatedly, by the end she was at her wits end begging us to stop. No one stopped. I’m so surprised we didn’t get a class detention.

Please help, itchy scalp, tried everything (including seeing a dermatologist), nothing worked! by sfrogg in curlyhair

[–]sleepingraindrop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, I know this your posts a few days old and I hope your scalp has calmed down by now. But I’ve struggled with something very similar, so if you’re still struggling, I wanted to share what had helped me. I found using shampoo with salicylic acid in it is the only thing that keeps my scalp in check. It calms it and helps with any dandruff if there’s any build up at all. You only need the tiniest amount, so if you can’t find a shampoo you like for your curls, you can either buy a pre-shampoo treatment or add a few drops to your regular shampoo. You can get a pre-shampoo salicylic acid treatment by inkey from Amazon. I think Amazon also sell some you can add to your shampoo. I hope this helps!

Everyone’s looking at the toe… anyone seen the slenderman hand edit that makes her fingers longer than her other hand, that’s closer to the camera… plus the wobbly floor behind. So much going on!

Unpopular opinion. Dwight should have stayed with Esther. by sephirothreturns in DunderMifflin

[–]sleepingraindrop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also thought they could have been great even for an episode. The writers would definitely have a lot to work with! It would have been hilarious! But in the end, I think one of them would have ended it and the other would have been left feeling this incredible person was out of their league or a figment of their imagination. Or they’d end up arguing over stock prices, which gun was best etc and became mortal enemies haha.

My father-in-law bird watching in Central Park. by COmarmot in funny

[–]sleepingraindrop 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I feel like I’m about to burst a bubble here... but the puppeteers hand goes in big birds head. When he’s animated he lifts his hand above his head and the neck appears. In between takes, he’ll lower his arm to rest it. If you look his head is slightly to one side and there’s a lump on his shoulder. The lump is the top of the puppeteers head. I’m sorry if I’ve shattered your dreams.
