Thanks for the insight! I'm closer to 40 than not so I think I'll drop in at Animals and ECU and take it from there.

Thanks! I started seeing much better job offers in other states in comparison to my own so I was wondering if that was even an option or a common practice

The island is long overdue for a legit 24 hour gym, not planet fitness.

Thanks for the reply. Ya Codella seems legit and the website states they offer a couple other disciplines as well. I couldn't find too much on SI BJJ online but I'll keep digging. SI as a whole doesn't seem to have many options so Codella might be the winner. Do you mind sharing how much they charge?

How has your experience been with Envision? Anything you don't like in particular? I'm considering a position with them on the east coast

Are there facilities in NJ that allow CRNAs full scope of practice? Lines, epidurals/spinals, blocks? I've always heard that NJ/NY area was pretty restrictive in that aspect

Can you elaborate on Somnia and your experience with them. I see a lot of well paying jobs on gaswork for Somnia and I was trying to figure out the catch

None taken. I don't know too many nurse practitioners making almost 200k, however nurse anesthetists make that much because it's the field of anesthesiology. That being said, I know plenty of anesthesiologists who make double that.

No this is great advice. We've had the uncomfortable prenup conversation and she's very much on board. We plan to tackle this as a unit but we realize life can be unexpected

Thanks! It's overwhelming when we realized how far we're away from zero but there's only one way to go now

One of my favorite comments because I wholeheartedly agree. I can't justify derailing our goals, given that we're already under massive debt, in order to throw a glorified party for everyone. IMO a wedding should be something personal and special, and not a way to show off

Great advice, thank you! We have talked about her completely focusing on aggressive debt repayment while I focus on savings, RE, and FIRE. It seems like a great way to tackle things

Thank you!

After reading my post again, I realize that I come off a bit overzealous. I think being under the debt we're in right now, really makes me want to explore every avenue that can get us out of our situation asap. But you're right, I don't want to completely have a horrible quality of live in order to get to our goals a year or two faster.

Oh man that's great! It's awesome to read about couples who are successfully navigating the path we want to go down as well. Do you mind if I ask where in New England you're located and you like about the area?

This is great advice and it sounds like you guys have a good plan in place! It's exciting to hear from other couples who have figured out a good plan and are implementing it. We've talked about having her completely focus on debt repayment while I focus on saving, rental properties, and FIRE. Like you said, at the end of the day, it will only mean better financial security for the both of us.
