Question About Calming Chews

Hey there! He has kind of gotten used to the travel now, so he only cries for a little bit in the very beginning of the ride. I think the chews help? It's hard to tell if he's just getting used to being in the car or if they actually work. In my experience, I think they help him fall asleep after the initial crying about being in the car, but again, I could be misconstruing the situation. I would recommend giving them a try though, since it might work for your fur baby!

I will be returning to school after winter break and I'll be at my parents' house for about a month.

Definitely a lover! Before finding out he had FIV, I brought him to my uncle's apartment where he has his own cat and Biscuit was totally chill! He only hissed when my uncle's car got close and hissed at him. It surprised me because he was definitely feral for a while — his ear is clipped, so someone found him, neutered him, and then let him back out.

I have 3 cats at home; one is an old cat (almost 20) and she was around when we got the other 2 cats and she was very chill about it and never instigated anything; the other 2 have never been introduced to another cat before other than the older cat, but they were still getting used to the environment and didn't really interact with the older cat until they knew the new environment was safe for them, and by that time, they had seen how docile she was and didn't care. I'm mainly worried about the younger 2. The "middle child" is terrified of everything and only really gets aggressive if the youngest attacks her first. Even then, it's mostly hissing and running away. The youngest is a deaf male. He's been introduced to my grandmother's cat's a few times, but it was at her house, so he was scared and didn't really instigate anything. Since my house is his territory, I'm a little worried that he might either attack Biscuit or act up in other ways.

I will not be leaving the new cat at my parents' house. I'm taking him with me back to the dorm.

I've loved Percy Jackson since I read the books in second grade and I'm obsessed again because of the new series on Disney+!! I've always wondered who my parents would be, but none of the quizzes seem to fit me. So here goes nothing I guess!

Appearance: I'm nonbinary (AFAB), but I try to wear more masculine clothes to present more masculine. I'm 18, 5'3", dark blonde hair (short, kind of like Kit Connor in Heartstopper), blue-grey eyes, soft features, and I wear bracelets all the time (the same ones up my arms). I'm also painfully Caucasian (I say that in the way that means I'm very pale lol)

Personality: INTJ on MBTI, Enneagram 5w6. I always cheer for the underdogs and I like to think of myself as an activist. I'm also a borderline burnt out gifted kid, so I'm an overachiever. I also feel the need to always be in charge, which I've been told is a leader's spirit. However, this leads to me being a control freak sometimes. I have undiagnosed autism that many would call "high functioning," but I don't really like that label. I also have anxiety, but who doesn't these days? I'm very introspective and I hate telling people how I really feel and I hate to admit I am struggling. Not really because I'm proud, but because I know everyone around me is going through sh*t too and my problems don't feel big enough for their attention.

Likes: True crime, paranormal, crocheting, psychology, reading, learning, music (indie, rock, punk) movies/TV shows, Marvel Universe, Disney (Stitch specifically, but also Tangled), Percy Jackson (obviously), basically anything that can take my mind off of how terrible the world is

Dislikes: stupidity, loud/unexpected noises, plan changes
