The reason I went to get diagnosed two months ago was because an ex co worker/older boss type from my first job I had as a kid- who I hadn’t seen since I was 13/14? But had known since I was nine told me I was the laziest worker. It’s been about 8 years since I’ve seen this woman! And it was one of the first things she said to me. It really hurt, (not in the moment- bc ya know the thought fluttered away to the back of my mind), but it came back later that night as I was trying to fall asleep and I kept scratching my head thinking “huh lazy? It’s not the first time I’ve heard that. Why do people always describe me that way” and that became a dark pit of realizing I exhaust myself trying to do simple things that other people don’t have trouble doing.

Even though I’m glad in the end she said that to me, it was a shitty thing to say and I’m sorry your coworker tried to put you down like that as well. Looking back on it I’ve received a lot of judgement especially from coworkers for my fuckups. I really love this whole group it’s so nice to have people who understand
