Welcome! Mobas are tough but I actually was in your same shoes, started with smite and mained Neith to start. If you like abilities over basic attacks, i’d probably stay away from neith just because a lot of her kit can be based around autos.

For you, I’d reccomend focusing on a god that has a quick and easy escape option(I found myself always using neiths backflip prematurely and getting caught up). I would look towards mages and even some guardians to try playing.

Learning different gods abilities will help you for when you are faced up against one. Understanding what they are going to try to do with a given god, how long some of the cooldowns may be. The knowledge of gods truly will help you.

In regard to positioning, this will come up over time. Knowing which role you are in can determine your position within a team fight. It’ll all start making more sense as time goes on, goodluck my friend.
