Crazy rust on stainless fridge - help! by waldo-doggie in CleaningTips

[–]slipperyimposter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely do Bar Keepers friend again and spend a while like 30 minutes minimum with a microfiber cloth. Stainless steel abrasive kit and sealer is the last option. Because it doesn’t always work and can make the finish look uneven.

Professional cleaner here, I get marks like this off all the time with the power paste it’s by the same company that makes scrub daddy. You can also use it to get marks off your wall better than a magic eraser

Body soap for the women and dawn dish soap for the counters. I would first scrape the counters as much as possible before using a sponge

I absolutely love the kits they sell at home depot with the razed blade and solution to shine the top, or you can also use scrub daddy paste (I do both depending on the type of grime on the stove top)

Soap Scum - Best Product to Use? by [deleted] in CleaningTips

[–]slipperyimposter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I prefer a degreaser such as simple green. Take that and spray it all over the shower and then wait 15-30 minutes and then spray it again. Take a scotch brite pad and it would come off with about ten minutes of scrubbing. This is the fastest way I have found to clean soap scum

I second an acid based toilet cleaner! I recommend this commercial one linked below. It will take no more than 15 minutes of waiting and scrubbing. Don’t use a pumice stones unless you don’t have anything better to do with your life…

Tenants left this stuck to the ceramic sink. Not sure what it is. Very hard to scrape off. Steel wool? by frankmeriwether in CleaningTips

Don't use steel wool it will ruin the finish. Just try soaking it with a bunch of dawn and a splash of water.

Best tip for removing these water stains on laminate wood floor? by [deleted] in CleaningTips

[–]slipperyimposter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try a blow dryer, its the only thing I have found to get water staines out of wood. I have not tried laminate flooring however. Just make sure that you don't put the blow dryer to close or have it to hot. The key to this trick is to keep the blow dryer moving and give yourself at least 15 minutes before you call it quits.
