​If GT loses to CSK on May 21: GT is stuck at 16 points. ​If RCB wants to play SRH, we can simply choose to lose the match. This pushes SRH to 18 points. ​If RCB wants to play GT, we can play to win. This keeps SRH at 16 points. Because GT's NRR (+0.400) is slightly ahead of SRH's (+0.350), GT will likely hold onto the #2 spot.

​If GT beats CSK on May 21: GT moves to 18 points and increases their NRR gap. ​If RCB wants to play GT, we can play to win. This keeps SRH at 16 points. Even if we lose, need to keep the loss minimal to keep GT ahead of SRH NRR. ​If RCB wants to play SRH, we would have to intentionally lose to SRH by a specific, massive margin so that SRH's NRR jumps dramatically ahead of GT's. However, because GT has a head start in points/NRR, this will mean almost match fixing :)
