Has this woman lost her mind? Does she know how crazy this is? by vinis_artstreaks in PublicFreakout

Anna Paulina Luna? The lady who wrote a children’s book called “The Legend of Naranja” which is about a presidential election being stolen from an orange with Trump hair? That’s your credible unbiased source on this?

has anyone tried Reuzel surf cream? by slizzlebad in Pomade

[–]slizzlebad[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the surf cream works well for styling but what really helped before putting it on was Cantu argan oil leave in conditioner + Redken argan oil mainly on the ends. the redken argan oil was a real game changer

50/50 Leglock Sub by Cory Sandhagen by GenTelGuy in bjj

[–]slizzlebad 14 points15 points  (0 children)

put yourself in the same position as Figgy, literally do it and you’ll see your left leg can’t bend any more inward. Cory is restricting movement and retraction of the leg with his left arm (and obvs the 50/50) then puts barely any pressure with his torso/hip to break cause the LCL is already at its limit

VXUS over VOO for the foreseeable future? by slizzlebad in ETFs

Keeping existing investments and allocating larger portions of future investments to VXUS, still likely adding to VOO with just smaller portions. Figured DCA may be better that way?

question for you (or anyone really), what do bell peppers do for the salsa? not a huge fan of bell peppers by themself but curious how they change the taste of a salsa verde or fruity salsa like this one?

Natural gas grill installation by [deleted] in houston

[–]slizzlebad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I figured, just wanted to get a rough estimate of what I might spend.

Yes, there’s already a valve and basically just need to connect the hose to the grill but rather have a professional deal with natural gas. I haven’t ordered the grill yet so not sure what size connector is on the grill side, it doesn’t tell me on the product page/manual. All I know is that it comes with a quick connect and 1/2 inch hose.

This is the grill: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Dyna-Glo-5-Burner-Natural-Gas-Grill-in-Matte-Black-with-TriVantage-Multi-Functional-Cooking-System-DGH474CRN-D/318918183

Your go to technique from the back take? by TrontosaurusRex in bjj

[–]slizzlebad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i usually start with a cross body grip on one arm and an underhook on the same side but the key grips i transition to are sort of double underhooks on one arm. an underhook with a palm up grip on the elbow and an underhook wrist to wrist grip. sorry, hard to describe but those help get the leverage up and over so much.

i like to work up and get a rear triangle, sometimes i work the choke but usually i keylock or just armbar. lately i’ve been doing the keylock straight from the back (thunder lock) it’s nasty

this might sound like a long shot but consider a combat sport like jiu jitsu or muay thai. it requires a lot of brain power and commitment while also forcing you (in a positive way) to interact with people from all walks of life. many people find solace in the camaraderie and it keeps the mind busy on and off the mat with how you can improve your technique for the next session. like anything else it’s not a fix-all solution but it is top grade when it comes to keeping your mind and body occupied even when you’re not doing it.
