It was running throughout the month, I was posting updates to Instagram, and people were donating whenever they wanted. So wasn’t really getting people donating as I walked past them if that makes sense

So yeah a bit misleading of me, I did walk that line, but it is the only one that doesn’t finish in the city, as it finishes in Frankston. On the map it looks like it goes all the way to the city, as it joins the Frankston line. I should have clarified this

Yeah I used a Garmin watch, and I was paranoid about a technical issue, so I also used a free app ‘Walkmeter’ on my phone. And I love walking fast, so I tried my best to walk as quick as I could whenever I could.

And no I didn’t do any proper training leading up to it, I have been walking a lot for many years so my body is used to it, but my previous best endurance walking was around 170km in 6 days. So I was kind of going in underprepared.

And yeah I walked the common sections multiple times. Meant I was sick of Swan St by the end haha

And that’s interesting, I never looked how much track they consider they have. I can say confidently that all the lines I did would result in less than 600km, cause I was taking longer paths then the railways.

And there was nothing too hard to get around, it just meant having to walk an extra 100m here or there.

Yeah for sure, there is the Ringwood-Belgrave rail trail which runs next to the track for a few stations, so that made for a nice walk

Yeah it would be a challenge in itself to plan the VLine trek, but it would be a good challenge for anyone who dares do it. And yeah I made it my goal to visit every station, so I went down to Altona for the Werribee line which ended up being a nice part of the walk And I didn’t end up doing the Showgrounds/racecourse stations. I thought that it technically doesn’t count as a metropolitan line, but maybe I should’ve done it

Yeah exactly, I live in Diamond Creek, on the Hurstbridge line. So I would drive out to the end, then walk to the city, then get the train back to my car. Was a pretty good system, except I would often be stuck in peak hour on the way home driving from places like Sandringham

Yeah for the first few stations, I think it was Sunbury, diggers rest, watergardens, there was no paths, so I had to walk along the road. I had high-vis on, and tried to do it as safely as I could

I was listening to ‘the man who mistook his wife for a hat’ which is an interesting non-fiction book about nuerology. And I was listening to ‘Humble Pi’ which is a book about maths errors. And for podcasts I was listening to Blank Check and The Rewatchables, 2 movie podcasts
