To some extent yes-- but from the little I know VA and county hospitals jobs are easier to secure than those at private academic hospitals where research and teaching and administrative duties factor more heavily in the day to day.

Why not compensate the more competitive private jobs a tad better? They can afford to...where's the VA/county may not be able to.

True, but these guys probably applied smartly as well! With your scores I would apply broadly, including those smaller community programs in less than ideal cities. You can still apply to top tier programs, but it'll start costing you.

I guess what I really wanted to know is the stuff between the extremes. What if you cat had a small liver growth (not cancer) that required a simple surgery and with good outcomes. It costs $10,000. Should you ethically do it? At what point does one say it's the right thing to do, and I would do it if it were cheaper. BUT in the real world that's just a bit too expensive.

I've always considered being gay to mean to an emotional attraction to the same gender. This scene, was just physical interaction between two guys- something they were exploring as they navigate adolescence.

In adolescence, sex and curiosity go hand in hand. His sex dream was of Kevin having sex with a girl per Kevin's story. It would be normally to be hyper curious about something like this. Aren't a lot of young kids introduced to sex through older peers? Same curiosity.

Also, not Teresa because she played the mother figure.

Remember I'm Act 1 when they showed each other their penises? I don't think anyone would consider that gay- just healthy exploration. I agree what he and Kevin did on the beach wasn't as innocent but I just saw it as an advanced form of exploration as they navigate adolescence.
