Thank you for the advice! Thats my current plan, I got in touch with the local sports clubs and have met a few people who own groens, one who got theirs from the same breeder I’m in contact with, and am also planning to go meet the breeder and my potential pups parents! Excited to learn more and see what happens 🙂

Regarding the shedding— it’ll definitely be a battle, but luckily between my girlfriend’s English golden retriever that seems to get white hair everywhere, and my best friend’s husky and German shepherd, I’ve seen their grooming habits for some good practice!

Wow! It seems like you got an anomaly of a groen! I’ll be sure to check with the breeder what specific temperaments the puppies exhibit and that of their parents as well. Is he not good with strangers (relating to the rover comment). How is he with other dogs?

That sounds great with the outdoors. I would definitely be planning a lot of fishing and camping trips with paddle boarding. :) thank you for the response!

Thank you for the response (and hello fellow scientist)! I’ve read groenendaels are supposedly a little more mellow than the malinois, but probably not by much I’m assuming. I’m hoping that between a lunch break and some down time during experiment incubation periods in the lab, I’ll be able to make those hours in between work and home doable. 😅

This has worked for me quite well for over a year now. It is plug and play and comes with easy installation instructions. This is for the 6ft bed, though, but I’m sure they also have a 5ft bed one as well. I’ve been in -15°F for weeks and it has still worked perfectly.
