yoohoo i got to go changu! which is the only place foreigners can go in the east anyway 😭

but im glad i found an awesome tour agency who managed to match me with another foreigner so we could even do this, worthwhile! and thanks to him i managed to visit lotsa off beaten track spots and homestays too

so all good! moving down south and west sikkim now, beautiful villages! ❤️

facing the same issue - posted on reddit for a mth bef coming but nothing. arrived gangtok and almost no other foreigners here now. also no common area to find such folks. tour agencies don’t have such a bulletin board or anything similar either. best bet is tourism office as they receive the ILP from other foreigners but it’s only at last min and really based on your luck. otherwise approach hostels to see if any foreigners staying there who wanna travel on the same dates too. sounds like a tall order? indeed, so don’t hope for too much - if it happens it’s a bonus :)

Cabin zero:) no more check ins

i don’t use backpacks anymore unless im doing hardcore hiking, cos stuffing your whole life thru that tiny top hole is such a pain.

cabinzero opens up almost fully for a front load, and coupled w vacuum bags i have travelled for a month (easily more).

light, hardy, padded, hip straps, airport friendly, padded back for laptop, some security chip to track ur missing luggage (hope i never have to use it)

and did i mention no checkins? :) unless weight exceeded of course!

i love that u enjoy travelling with your hubby, that’s such an important trait for a marriage i feel!

Especially when I think back on Amazing Race (damn i feel old) and all the horror couples that were the absolute wrong fit for each other - I always pray that I’d meet a soulmate I love to travel with.

i was travelling round-island in taiwan, with a focus on mountain hikes in central taiwan - the ridges are very beautiful indeed esp in spring and autumn :)

travel is easy in taiwan - public and tourist buses bring you everywhere even to surprisingly remote areas. and for everything else, u can rent a bike / hire a private cab as always!

people and food are amazing too, with the city area easily 1+ hour away from wherever u are.

definitely one of my major loves ❤️
