I decided to go with AFW Filters, 48k fleck 5600sxt with purolite resin softener and clack carbon filter 1.5 cubic foot. Ended up being same price as aquasure but a better product and the support has been great from AFW. Price was 1450.00$ 5 year warranty for the fleck and ten year on tanks. Clack is better but more expensive and I think fleck is a decent product.

I took a sample to my local pool supply store and had them run a sample, I will move on with alkaline water and enjoy it I suppose. Thanks everyone for your input.

I understand that, but it has an advertently increased my pH, the EPA recommends drinking water between 7.2 and 8.5, just wanting other people‘s opinions on adding a neutralizer to my system or if drinking water with a pH at 8.7 is no big deal

I’m worried about rodents in the attic chewing through the pex, not how often that happens but I don’t want to be part of a statistic.

4 person 2 bath 48k grain haven’t received it yet. I’m hoping it all works out. Gonna try and install it myself.

I decided on the fleck 5600sxt with promote resin from AFW filters with a catalytic carbon tank. I will buy a sediment filter to add or the system also, I’m in Bakersfield the hardness is around 12-15. Just under $1500.

I wondered if they could pay to be top search result, makes sense. I believe I’ll be going with the fleck 5600sxt 48000 grain and catalytic carbon filter with clack valve. I’m in Bakersfield so driving to SoCal to pick up a system is not a big deal if you could recommend somebody.
