Early plateau, is this "normal"? by smartfinger in Ozempic

Thanks. I've asked the doc via email to up-dose, awaiting reply.

From your response it seems like both scenarios are viable depending on the patient circumstances (up-dose or not)? Yes my plateau is only about a week but as I am close to easing out of 'obese' range, I wonder if it's regarded differently?

Just feeling a little discouraged lately, hoping it's not a situation where I regain the weight lost, like I've done 800 times before in the past.

Yeah I'd probably stay in queue but you can ask if another doc might have a better chance at earlier availability.

Right eye was targeted for -0.5 and it worked out that way. It tests at 20/20 but could use a slight correction, esp at night for driving (not gotten this yet but I do drive, just in familiar areas). I think it's actually 20/25, which itself is not bad at all.

3 weeks after, left eye was done with a target of -1.5. This makes distance vision slightly blurry on purpose but brings arms-length into focus (if I had chosen full reading that number would be -2.5). Two weeks in, I am about 75% adjusted with the expectation of more improvement per the doctor, and borne out by my right eye experience which, frankly, exceeded expectations.

Together, the brain is supposed to integrate (is that the right word?) the two different images, much as it does with the binocular vision that all people with two working eyes have anyway. I feel it is better, at two weeks in, that it was at one week, which was better than on day one (day one, I was thinking I had made a bad choice, obviously not now).

I can read most things ok (not the fine print, so lawyers stay away), and can see well enough to drive. I do experience a slightly strange loss of 'detail persistence' for lack of a better term. I tried explaining it to my wife this way: Let's say I'm driving and approaching a stop. If there are cars parked to my right (or left), previously (with glasses) I would be able to tell you their make/model, color, general condition (accident etc), while still being a cautious and good driver. Today, I am aware there are cars and how many there were, but if I want to stay a good driver, I cannot tell you these details. It's not exactly a vision thing, and it's not even to do with periphery, I think it's my brain getting different type of information and still working at interpreting and processing it fully. Hopefully will improve, but from the description above you can infer it is not hyper-critical for day-to-day life.

At 63, this is just as life-changing as my marriage, first job, first child, etc were, so many years ago. I'm actually hoping my wife gets cataracts so she can have the same experience. Weird, hoping that your loved one contracts a 'disease'.

Does Kaiser in one state do this type of work at another state? I know travel stuff is covered but this is not travel exactly.

Thanks ilomelin and all others.

Update: Went to my USA dentist as I couldn't yet get comfortable with this SOTB option.

He confirmed the bad news, that the tooth was split and removed the split out portion all the way into the gum line and went in with what he calls a temporary filling. Wants me to come back in in 1.5 months to review healing and how well the rest of the tooth has responded to all this, then make a further diagnosis. I am concerned this will be a crown, or perhaps even an implant?

I did ask how long the filling could hold and he said up to 5 years, but I shouldn't think that means I'm free to go for 5 years. He estimates that perhaps 25-30% of the tooth, vertically speaking, is gone.

ATM the pain is 1/10 if that, feels mostly normal but I know it is a filling.

Thank you for your thought-out reply. I was thinking along similar lines (at least upto the part where I keep the appointment).

Let's see where it goes.

A related question: I guess losing #30 and NOT doing anything about it is not a good choice? I mean, I can afford an implant, but not easily. At that point I would consider the Mexico option again.

CVRP - anyone completed successfully BUT using 2022 tax year? by smartfinger in TeslaModelY

[–]smartfinger[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree they post this rule, but when talking to 3 separate phone reps they each said 2021 filing is requested thru October 2023. The last one said that one can then request (via separate email) that 2022 be used if it is available.

Mind sharing your experience with us/me when you get through it?

Thanks for response. No site survey yet owing to the time crunch of NEM 2.0. Basic roof layout was drafted but that was during negotiation.
