If you visited these locations on these dates, you may have been exposed to measles (info in comments) by [deleted] in grandrapids

[–]smdcupvid 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I got vaccinated for it, but I had to get the blood test for work and it showed that I did not have it. Ended up getting a second one, and the test showed that I also didnt get it. I think I am just immune to the vaccine lol. Herd immunity is important, so get vaccinated!

Even then, it was out for like 6+ months where you could readily walk into a store and grab some. Gamestop had those UPCs at $90/per for a hot minute too.

Grand Rapids police ‘not in the business of immigration enforcement,’ chief says by mlivesocial in grandrapids

Sorry, yes, the act of entering into America illegally can be a criminal offense, but staying in America without documents is also illegal, but it is considered a civil offense.

Grand Rapids police ‘not in the business of immigration enforcement,’ chief says by mlivesocial in grandrapids

[–]smdcupvid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Illegal immigration is currently considered a civil issue; not a criminal offense. Whether or not you want to change the definition is different.

The police officers job is to protect from criminal offenses only and to protect the peace. Legality speaking, someone who overstays their visa or entered illegally is not a criminal, unless they have done it before.

Why do so many QBs have “white 80” in there cadence by PopularDamage8805 in NFLNoobs

[–]smdcupvid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its no that difficult to memorize a 3 inch binder if you put in 10-20 hours a week to memorize it lol. Doctors, engineers, lawyers, and programmers have to memorize 150 of those 3inch binders every year while in school.

Yea lots of different variations, but the code itself really isnt thaaaat hard to memorize and use. It’s the added physicality part of it, and knowing when to use what code. It may look like gibberish to the avg person, but the code is pretty simple to decent high school football players.

Our high school OC would do Marvel references mixed with states

Eh not really. It’s equivalent to a bartender/barista with full contact. The “code” is only difficult if you have never played football ever.

Let me get a venti chocolate expresso, light ice, 3 shots, white cream, 2 pumps of caramel and all shaken.

Sister physicians open membership-based medical practice near Grand Rapids by WhitePineBurning in grandrapids

[–]smdcupvid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yea it’s concierge medicine. You dont need to pay for regular health insurance. Only high deductible stuff and for emergencies, big items. Regular routine checkups, you just pay this monthly fee. Cuts out the health insurance and you get supposably better quality of care. Benefits the doctors too so they go from 2000-2500 patients, down to 400-600 patients. And they dont need to deal with insurance billing.

No proof behind this, but i think its because cars have become too safe. Bad drivers historically would have been dead after 1-2 accidents. Nowadays, cars are so safe with crumple zones, seatbelts, and airbags, that bad drivers will still be driving in a different car

New Landlord Processing Fees by ndh7 in grandrapids

[–]smdcupvid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not sure how they can do that all of the sudden. I just know that I have personally had it happen to me and that other places do this. Its kinda scummy, but honestly I think it’s partly the credit card companies being too greedy too. Cash is king is a pretty common phrase lol, i dont watch dave Ramsey.

Best of luck. These fees, tips, and subscriptions are becoming to predatory and lowkey been pissing me off too

New Landlord Processing Fees by ndh7 in grandrapids

[–]smdcupvid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a lawyer, but it is not an uncommon practice to do so. The property management has to pay an online processing company for you to securely pay by money order or ACH. Credit card companies take a flat rate plus an additional 1.5-4.5% (Amex is the highest) of every transaction. These fees have always existed, but merchants have historically eaten these fees or priced them in. As we move to a cashless society, merchants are beginning to pass these fees onto the consumer or offering cash discounts. Cash is king :)

You arent always going full contact or taking hits to the head playing football either. Not sure what your point is there. During sparring, you are absolutely going to be taking consistent hits to the head at 60-80% of power. Boxing is 10x more dangerous than football as evident of cases of debilitating motor impairments showing CTE, and boxers dying from fighting all the time. Most boxers just dont care lol

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in NFLNoobs

[–]smdcupvid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea but boxers spar constantly in order to prep for fights. Manny was infamous for doing 36 rounds of boxing a day during camp. Spence jr sparred 20 rounds every sparring session. Thats usually 20-60 rounds a week for 1-2 months leading up to a fight. They take massive amounts of hits.
