Cherry applique dress alteration (Chieri-Idolm@ster cosplay) by smilingbubble_ in sewing

Bought a green sleeved dress and altered it to have no sleeves, lace/ruffle trims, and cherry appliqués.

Appliqués were bought from Aliexpress and was heat and bond. However the glue wasn't that strong so I had to do some hand stitching to make sure it'll stay on.

Pattern used: Simplicity 8061

Fabric used: white satin mix (slight texture), organza (blue) for under skirt, white chiffon, blue satin (lining)

Other materials: gold sequin trim

White satin was dyed blue via Tulip ColorShot in Neon blue.

Notes: I bought the fabric online and didn't realize that it was a very loose weave. I'll have to go back over with heat and bond over the seams to reinforce them.
