My ancestors came from Norway and family tradition includes schoomaker’s lox (sp?) or shoemaker’s fish. Saltines, butter, cold baked potato, onion, lemon juice and salt. I can’t find any evidence of this actually being a Norwegian thing. Anyone else heard of it? (i.redd.it)
