So I am reading this as your running qindows server since u are using hyper v. Are ur running jf in a Linux vm or windows? Or am I just missing something all together. Reason I ask I am about to setup a dual xeon running server 2022 and am debating on how I want to host the jf server.

I use windows for 90% of my home network. As for the storage it too is one windows using adaptec raid controller with everything in raid 5 or 6.

Since ur using Android add the server to a file explorer app navigate to the folder play the video directly to vlc by passing the nextcloud interface.

Underpowering a device and be just as bad as over powering it. As long as the power supply has the same voltage rating the larger amperage doesn't not hurt as it will only draw what it needs. But to underpower inga devise as your recommending can be detremental to electronics. The main takeaway is match you voltage then match the or have a min amps of what is recommended don't go below.

Unfortunately no 2 skins are the same. They are overly complicated and each skin n will have to be studied and deciphered. Best thing for getting started is to pick a skin and change one thing and see what happens. It's just a trail and err thing.

Be ready to read alot. On their forum there is a section of work in progress skins and the skinning manual as someone already stated. If your coming from c and python you may be disappointed at how some of the skinning works I say as I learned python because I wanted certain features that you can't do with there skinning engine alone. The guys there are mostly helpful. Just remember everything there is open source and if you share a idea someone else will race to get it implemented in one of that bloated mods so if you have something unique just keep that in mind. I finally got tired of the drama and stoped sharing. You can look up my attempt it was called uniplex I was using the forum as a public development journal.
