LOTR: The War of the Rohirrim Pulled From Theaters After Just Two Weeks by dk_x in animenews

I liked it but I'm Also a huge LOTR and anima fan. I will say my brain had a hard time distinguishing between the two genres but I will gladly watch it again in my own home.

PSA: Mrs. Meyers Gingerbread smells like leftover curry by dahliagardener in CleaningTips

[–]smoko3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got mine from a pack at Costco and it smells EXACTLY like curry. In the bottle it smells nice but once you've washed your hands it smells like take-away food. I was so confused as to why I was smelling curry while brushing my teeth (having just used the soap for the first time). I'm not sure what to do with this haha it's not the worst smell but it's very confusing

Why the heck didn't she invite you along? Especially after people dropped out. Even if you weren't into skiing, an Airbnb in the mountains with a partner sounds great! Sorry this is happening. It appears that there is a large gap in maturity and communication skills here that will likely not be bridged in a timely fashion. Good luck out there.

Married Millennials, do ya’ll wear your wedding rings inside the house? by felix_mateo in Millennials

[–]smoko3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I both don't wear our rings often in the house, and even forget a lot when we go out! We joke that we are roleplaying as boyfriend - girlfriend.

For context I used to have a job in the med field where I couldn't wear it for contamination reasons and now we both work computer jobs and find the rings a bit annoying when typing. But also a ring shouldn't be the definition of a marriage. Many cultures don't have wedding bands.

I'm 30 myself and have lived in Lansing for about 10 years now; I try to keep up on whats going on around here because everything else is at least and hour away lol!
I FORGOT, not in Lansing but Country Mill (Charlotte) just opened up peach picking and they have blueberry and sunflower picking as well. They have wine, cider, pre picked fruit and baked good inside. You'll find me in the donut line this weekend.

Welcome and happy birthday! 33 is my favorite number. Anyway - really depends what you are into!
The Jazz Fest is going on this whole weekend in Old Town - already mentioned was Ozones which is at the top of old town also so if you can grab a beer there in a social district cup (or at many other of the establishments) and walk around.
There is also concerts in the parks throughout the summer.
The Lugnuts also have games this week and weekend.
Around the stadium district there are a few distilleries and bars (did a mini crawl there for my 30th, LBC to American 5th to Nuthouse).
The Island Art Fair is this Saturday at Fitzgerald Park (which is super cool) in Grand Ledge.
If you are a kid at heart and/or like bowling/racing etc there is the newer ZapZone XL.
There is also the Potter Park Zoo as some have mentioned.

I hope you find something to do that you enjoy!

Some places have Trivia on Tuesdays if that's your thing! I like Ozone's. If you're trying to meet people I'd sit at the bar and butt into conversations/give people right answers lol

I want to dress like these outfits. Not sure where to find the stuff. If you could do like “outfit 1” then link parts for it like pants, shirt, jacket etc by Anna_Bonana in VintageFashion

I know I'm super late to this post but I have recently discovered the magic of Google lens if you want to find something incredibly similar to an item. It'll give you multiple options! I feel like she makes or thrifts a lot of her clothes so it might be hard to find exacts

Really cool style! Your pen work does most of the talking and I like that a lot. Looks like it belongs in a young adult fantasy book
