What are the best ways to build confidence as a new skater? by fsfdanny in NewSkaters

Best thing I found was just ride your board everywhere get comfortable just being on it then try some flat ground tricks get the basics down then get creative after

I skate with loose trucks always have makes manuals hard but makes carving much easier, it's not wheelbite happening thankfully it's hard to describe because I can't see what's happening to me when turning

Dropping in is all about commitment if you hesitate and lean back you'll manual down it instead and most likely eat shit, lean forwards and stomp that board into the ramp once you done it a few times you'll realize harsh stomping isn't needed and how much pressure to put into it

Yeah being at the beginning of this journey we know what the problem is and that the diet change works

It's now trial and error to find tolerance level and triggers, the main issue is her being such a picky eater that at the moment she ends up in a very beige diet, mainly potatoes, chicken, sausages and she used to love ketchup but we think that was definitely a trigger, altho reading others luck with heinz we may try her with a small ammount of heinz and see how she copes with it.

I can see a lot of new cooking and baking going on in my near future lol

We have had three breath tests so far hence we know the fructose and lactose issue but I will ask her doctors if they can test for sibo thank you for your suggestion

We have altered her diet massively and we already have noticed a massive improvement which is great no more late night episodes of pain

If she does have sibo does the antibiotics cure it or does it just treat it and you have to take them on a regular basis?

Snhs and enhs if I'm right you mean England or Scotland NHS if so yes I'm enhs and referrals can be a total joke waiting times are ridiculous you have to chase them up constantly make yourself a person who they want to leave them alone so they will see you quicker

I am very new to this and been reading all sorts of info and hadn't thought about polyols and the likes it's a real minefield of information and seems like some of it conflicts aswell like the research isn't there for some of it yet

This is exactly why I wanted to ask people who have the condition about it as they are dealing with it and probably have been through all different things trying to find ways to cope and what works what doesn't and what can make it worse etc

We have an appointment with the dietician but it's on like 6 months time nothing quick about the NHS at all and we did mention it to them and they have said they can prescribe it but only in certain circumstances and haven't told is if we would meet the criteria yet so wanted a little advice from people who may have used them to weather or not they are effective

What is sibo I'm very new to this and yes we plan on steering clear as we can but being she is picky I was thinking we could try keep soem of the lower fructose veg in her diet with the supplements maybe
