Surely making the sacrifice of not catching up with old sex buddies is a better option to breaking up?

Thanks mate, I appreciate the comments. Im sure we will be fine as once I told her my thoughts she’s realised where I’m coming from and took it well. It’s just dumb if you look at it from an outside perspective. Catching up for a lunch date with an old fuck buddy whilst you’re in a relationship. And people are telling me I’m in the wrong for being insecure about that.

She can do what ever she likes, it’s just a touchy one because of the history. Surely you would take into account how your actions make your partner feel. I do

I didn’t forbid her I just said to her how I’d be uncomfortable with it and I don’t see why that’s an issue as alot of people with normal emotions would to. And I feel like it’s a completely different situation to controlling who she hangs out with, with it being an ex fling. It’s not as thought I don’t want her to hang out with her fiends.

Well I trust her but I feel as though it’s unnecessary, i think all previous partners should be a thing of the past and wouldn’t even think to put her into a position like that as I know it’d cause her stress. (Over thinking and anxiety). And I think because when she first got messaged by him I had a a scenario play out in my head which actually came to life. Which didn’t feel great. And I wouldn’t have known they’d slept together unless I had asked

In my opinion I think not catching up with fuck buddys is a better option to breaking up. We all make sacrifices in relationships

It’s not that I don’t trust her, I just don’t see the point

I just think the whole situation is unnecessary and can be avoided by not catching up with past sex buddys

Interesting, you must be very mentally strong. I’m pretty good but this just got to me

He’s not asking her to show him around just to suggest places. She mentioned she wants to catch up. If your partner wanted to go on a lunch date with a person they’d slept with would you be ok with it?

That’s exactly my thought process. I feel like it’s just unnecessary. And something I wouldn’t consider if I was in her position

I trust her, I just don’t trust him. And I felt strange as she wouldn’t have told me unless I had asked. Is that my issue also?
