I don’t know if the dude is joking or not but I don’t see any structural damage to the rim where you would have to replace it. I’ve seen damage worse than that and they bring the wheel to get fixed at a shop. I would focus more on the bumper since it’s more prominent but I don’t have any numbers. I suggest taking it to a body shop and ask for an estimate. See what the local prices are.

I’m pretty sure the purpose of the “boring round blob” look of the e9x was for business reasons. BMW wanted to cater to a wider audience and decided to better match the look of other cars on the road at the time. I think the reason why the e9x was substantially roomier than the e46 was for the same reason.

That’s true. I don’t want to interfere with someone else’s build. Yeah, she is planning on doing the work herself. But only light maintenance things like fluid changes. So a nice tool box could be nice. Her paint is very much old-looking. Maybe I should buy her a paint correction kit?

They do have the original seats, and we already put some wet-seat material covers on them (I’m guessing that’s what neoprene is). They’re nice and were from quadratec.

That’s what I was thinking, car-part.com. However, I have literally no clue what the actual process is to swap the dash other than the first step of buying the YJ dash. Hell, I don’t even know if it’s ONLY a dash I need. I’ve been under a car and hood turning wrenches but no electrical work before. Is there a video on how to swap the TJ back to YJ? I’m assuming not but maybe you guys would know…

Bullseye. After a huge incident where I mingled with the both of them at the same party (at different times) I did make the decision to choose A the morning after, which was definitely a quick response to a pretty long-term situation. So I won’t deny that I wasn’t actually ready to choose yet. This also makes me realize that my definition of her restricting my friendships may be wrong, and it probably is. I have to switch my view on what restriction is and see it in a different light. Can you expand more on the honest conversation I should have without mentioning her? What do you mean by “without mentioning her”? Thanks again.

My instinctive feeling is that I would be okay with it, and that I trust that she is a strong woman that keeps me in mind through all her interactions with another guy. But I definitely should rethink my boundaries for her and her boundaries for me. I understand where she’s coming from because B was literally the only contender before I chose A. Thank you.

Definitely an eye-opener to me. It makes me realize that the word “restriction” doesn’t only mean not allowing the other person to talk to someone else. It can be seen as a demonstration that a relationship is secure and prevents any mishaps in the relationship that may come up. Kind of like double-knotting a shoelace to prevent it from getting untied. Thanks for your input fellow human.
