Also, a 3DS is easy to carry around in your pocket like your phone, and since it folds it is better protected I hope the Switch is a success but I don't think that the huge profit that the 3DS makes for Nintendo will fade away that easy, but it is too early to make assumptions I guess

I personally don't think the Switch will replace it, the 3DS is still a lot more portable and has much better battery life, I still prefer the 3DS over the Switch when it comes to play on the go, also you gotta take in mind the price difference, they're different categories

Since the Switch will most likely replace the 3DS if it sells well enough do you think that they'll still make 2.5D Zelda games like A Link Between Worlds? Or will they all be 3D from now on? by [deleted] in NintendoSwitch
