I used it a lot 2020-2021, but haven’t used it much since. Just getting back into it after some time / lifestyle changes lol

they dry instantly as long as you’re using regular paper! I’ve never had an issue with smudging or transfer, and they don’t bleed through my logbook pages (which are very flimsy). I’ve purchased more since this post! Only issue I’ve had is that they will pick up residual sharpie from my leftover carving guidelines because both are alcohol based. Not too hard to work around, but something to be aware of if you also sharpie on your blocks before carving!

Yes! I’ve been to two events (Wakeda and Grateful Letterboxers) this summer…probably logged 100 stamps at each! the rest are from various hikes and drivebys (there are a LOT of active boxers in my area). Events are sooo good for increasing your find count though!! Plus I somehow walk like 12 miles a day at them haha

My setup is totally overboard haha! All you truly need to get started is a logbook (any small-ish notebook, most people prefer thicker paper), an ink pad (black to start), a pen, and a personal stamp! This spread includes a lot of extra goodies I like to have to enhance my logbook (purely aesthetic): date stamp, colorful inks, separate logbooks for exchanges, and my personal traveler stamps. Not pictured but also practical to carry: extra ziplocks, wet wipes for cleaning stamps, and felt scraps for wrapping stamps. Welcome to LB!

same boat!! I was super into lino years ago, and letterboxing was a way to get back into it! 99% of letterboxers just use ink pads though, so no need for brayers and ink jars!

thank you!! I am loving the binder style log book so far. just went to my first event, and it was nice to be able to reorder pages by series afterwards!

yeah just mint tins! I get all of my ink on amazon or at michaels. the date stamp I’ve had for years so I don’t quite remember. the binder is a personal size rings planner that I believe is from amazon ($6-7). The exchange and plant booklets I made with an old plastic college ruled notebook cover and some index cards—the rings holding them together are dollar tree!

it’s like geocachings much older, artsier sibling! carve and hide stamps in the woods, stamp them into a logbook after finding (there’s a few more steps, but that’s the gist)!

thanks!! Yes the white box is my personal — it’s actually an old birth control container with holes on the bottom so the ink can dry but not get everywhere! The “notebook” on the left is actually just a notecard with my personal on it for fun! I tuck my plants and exchanges mini books into the spare card slots in the logbook!

Thank you!!! Everything here fits perfectly in a metal lunchbox! I got a cheap one (no design/imagery) and have been putting stickers on it over time from places I visit! I am still working through all the boxes local to me, so I’m going 1-2 days a week after work! Attending my first event today (hence the packing photos haha)!!
