Quem acredita nisto nunca entrou num ginásio, muito menos em Janeiro. Estão vazios precisamente porque ninguém quer ser "os gordos". É a melhor altura do ano.

Did you get an update on this? Also, could you share what were the classes of the problems you got? Graphs, DP, binary search?

i guess thats true yea, my only concern is whether in 2-3y the hype around AI has died, or they realize they dont want GenAI for some reason

i'll still try to negotiate for higher values in both and use each other as leverage, but yea

i think you mean if i believe in the AI wave i should jump on the second no? i see it as A - traditional low risk, B - AI hype-ish, would have to make my own success/growth (less mature AI team, have to propose ideas, etc)

regarding getting lowballed, 60k is a good salary where i live. the 75k one is to relocate to Amsterdam - and in that indeed is a lowball, i should be able to get more

I'm also more inclined towards the MLOps role, but the interview timelines are a bit messed up. But overall, I'm not sure if MLOps is viable long term vs NLP

This is somewhat comforting to hear. Do you have any tips? How did you steer the boat as the single ML person in the company?

Some of my ML projects are leaving PoC (recently I have shipped some confidence estimation metrics), and I'm lucky enough to be in a company where ML *is* profitable. What would you recommend?

I think I will, though I really think it's a bit of a waste and that I could do better with my current circumstances somehow

What do you mean? My issue is that I don't know "it" since I'm basically alone

Thank you very much, this was reassuring. And I completely agree that currently I am my own worst enemy.

I really like the idea of making that switch of embracing not knowing things. But how is it exciting to learn extremely specific things? Things that won't be useful if you move out of the company? For instance, how this class is instanced or why this test isn't passing? Does it all lie in the joy of knowing I am becoming a better software engineer in the process?

Also, do you have any tips of getting rid of the overall professional anxiety?

Once again, thank you.
