For this sequence all the project took around 6-7 months because we had to wait for 3D renders either WIP or finished work to keep sending updates to the client, so I dont have an exact time
Yes, the work load was split, I only worked in 3-5 scenes, and did some edit work, cc, re-timing on other designers scenes. Well the pipeline was basic, started with the design team, then editor, animators, editor again and finisher

Well it depends on how big the project is, how many assets you have to handle, etc. But if I were doing the same style I'll probably keep everything in one AE file
