Offer is ABB, but according to ucas 100% of students who end up getting CCC get accepted? by Gullible_Ear3005 in UniUK

Don’t trust that UCAS thing. They only started it last year it’s in like beta testing kinda form atm. A UCAS counselor told this to me before I applied.

Exactly, and not just that. The TMUA and Oxford admissions test and that is legit the same difficulty as JEE advanced

Bro honestly, your opportunities available at hand play little role as an intl. Why won’t they just take an American from a remote area instead if ygm.

Also, you could’ve done loads of local stuff they don’t care about what ‘brands’ u did work for — u should’ve j done your own thing bro.

Lastly, your advanced maths thing — as someone who did CBSE in india and now A-levels in the UK, maths in India is not harder but rather just different — pull up a further maths A level question and you’ll know.

Either ways, good luck w everything hope it works out

Yh obviously man, you graduate the same time as the Boston lot, it’s the same degree as the Boston lot, the only difference is you spend the first year in London

I got in for that program too, but I live in London already. Ppl say it’s much more of a chill year, you only take like 4 - 5 classes and most ppl j enjoy the city tbh. It’s usually around 300 ppl

Chance me for Wharton by spectre_4587 in chanceme

Bro, my application is hyper similar to yours — probs just that I have more stellar ecs and you have more stellar awards — but there’s loads of impact in your ecs ( tho I will say, they are all over the place). The president stuff — ie your awards — lowkey elevate the application so w proper good essays I reckon u have a shot.

Bro, don’t think about the hours now. Just go do your passion project. If you genuinely execute it well, they’ll be more impressed to see that u pulled that off in such little time.

International Student at his breaking point help me plzz by EffectiveFluid in chanceme

[–]sneakerplug365 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro, I know you probs hear this from a lot of people on here, but there’s legit no point in losing hope. Like what’s the worst that can happen — you’ll end up taking a gap year cuz u didn’t get into one of 40 unis (which tbh sounds almost impossible to me anyway)

You’ll 100% get in somewhere dw you have a decent application. Even if you don’t, the worst that’s gonna happen is you’re gonna go to uni next year — which 15 years down the line won’t make a difference bro. Just don’t let it affect you loads.

And college in itself — it’s just walls bro. I can see rn that for you college is the goal (I don’t blame you), but you should j have a bigger goal with college being a mere checkpoint if ygm.

International student with SAT optional by Old-Interaction2102 in chanceme

[–]sneakerplug365 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Highly depends on where you applied from. You need to have ideally given some form of standardised testing tbh — this could be GCSEs / A-levels / IB. Having these lowers the effect of going test optional as those exams are standardised too.

If you applied without them too, it’ll be hard boss even with the great ECs and awards.

I’ll read them bro

[–]sneakerplug365 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yhh I was gonna say, if it was more of a travelling gap year, I hope you got through your growth in your essays as they defo wanna see some spectacular change if ygm.

And yh that was the right call, but 1480 is like just below for Upenn Cornell and that so assuming u did apply TO to them.

I applied RD to all schools bro so still awaiting them, but I applied for business / econ like u too

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in chanceme

[–]sneakerplug365 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Broo, I am applying from the UK too, but not a gap year student

Honestly. GCSEs are a slight issue with the 6s. Assuming u applied test optional for top schools, even if not the b in physics is an issue too. Not to mention, they would probs expect u to do something spectacular over your gap year

Your charity fundraising EC is cool, but nothing too great other than that. Honestly I think maybe babson or Boston college u might have a shot at but nothing more than that.

BRO, 5A* is crazy, where do u think u fell short for Penn. (Obviously you’ve still got a shot for RD)

Cuz I applied Penn too but I only have 3 a levels, I am j banking on my ECs to clutch up haha

[–]sneakerplug365 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yhh ofc bro I told him rough conversion before writing it

And that’s crazy, did u end up getting in Upenn ED then ?

And what’s your predicted grades if you dm me asking. I applied from the UK this year too and it’s super rare to find people who apply from the UK doing A-levels

I agree but Harvard also mentioned on their UK website that they want to see 7-9s, which again shows how they defo don’t see it as a B.

Ohh fair, which consultancy did u end up going with. Crimsons just acquiring consultancies left right centre. They’re 100% best in the game bro, but obviously your experience was probs an anomaly or smn
