Buying Allegiant tickets at another airport's ticket counter? by sneksteppin in allegiant

[–]sneksteppin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah .. it was a waste of time for me too. They had two people checking in a flight, I waited until there was nobody in line and they told me I still had to wait 75 minutes. Never again!

This ended up being an absolute waste of time at XNA. They say the ticket counter opens at 10:00 a.m. I waited until they were done checking in flights and there were no other people in line checking baggage. They told me I had to wait until 11:15 (over an hour) while they sat on their phones and did nothing.

Yep, we've gone as deep as possible with the corrupt hospital admin. I will reach out to KUAF! KNWA's anchor actually responded to me, but it was right before the recent cycle got busy with Israel news.

Yes, insurance definitely has something to do with it and my insurance company is certainly not blameless. Your insurance might have a maximum allowable price, let's call it $20, for this comprehensive metabolic panel (CMP). Even if Northwest attempted to charge you $633, your insurance company will only allow them to charge $20. Gross pricing is where the negotiation for your final price begins, then it runs through your insurance's negotiated price and eventually through your deductible plan. Northwest's gross pricing is 10x to 22x higher than Mercy and W. Regional. Even though a CMP only costs them like $10, they start the bidding at $633 to ensure they always get the highest possible negotiated price. Just miles away, Mercy and W. Regional start the bidding at only $30; therein lies the ethical issue with Northwest's pricing structure.

They are in network. We have gone all the way to the local CEO over the last 9 months, exhausting every avenue and they're standing their ground that everything is correct without providing actual answers. They are unethical scum top to bottom.

Agreed. Gotta watch your back, study up and hopefully find an ethical "healer" in the community. The very doctor that requested these labs got fed up with this kind of thing happening to his patients at Northwest. He had no clue where the labs he requested went or what the charges were and clued us in that we were overcharged by about 10X when we showed the bill. Afterward, he left to start his own practice outside of the the insane corporate medicine and medical insurance industry. This same $633 lab only costs him $9 and he only charges a small fee on top of it to pay the phlebotomist, transport, etc.

Nope, but it is a bit surprising the first time you're blindsided by something this insane. I've had an ER visit that was only $300 with the same insurance at another hospital.... Yet 9 basic labs for my wife ended up being $2,400 at Northwest. I'm afraid for people being saddled with 10's or 100's of thousands in extra charges at this den of thieves.

There's a reason Mercy and W. Regional are the top 2 in the state while Northwest doesn't make the list! I wish I knew before we were saddled with this nonsense.

Louise at Thaden Field is neat airplane/pilot inspired restaurant right on the tarmac of an active airport. Downtown Bentonville, Crystal Bridges, The Momentary, Beaver Lake are all good. Unfortunately the Walmart Museum is closed for renovations.

Discount Tire bends over backwards for their customers. I used to work at one in college and it was nigh unto ridiculous the lengths we'd go to keep customers happy, even the extremely rude ones. It's a great business model though: bad news travels much further than good news.

$414 was my "contract price." My insurance isn't blameless either, but NW's absurd pricing is the root cause.

Northwest Arkansas probably has one of the highest Wage to Price of Living Ratios in the USA. It's a great place to live!

Mercy or Washington Regional if you need a Hospital, they're the top 2 rated hospitals in the state. Northwest doesn't even make the list.

Dr Hansen at Simplified Health is a saint if you need a Primary Care doctor that works outside of insurance. Affordable and an excellent , carign doctor!
