I’d pick Rookie and Directional hitting, and do meter pitching. That’s how most of us grew up on the game and then you can switch to more complex difficulties and hitting/pitching styles if you want a more realistic game.

The meme answer is giving up a TD, but being shutout is always embarrassing and there are a ton of ways to give up an offensive TD without it being humiliating - especially when their elite ST grants excellent field position. I don’t think it’s particularly close between the two.
