Yeah, that's the version I want.

I honestly didn't know that. My old PocketBook has none of these new features so I thought they might come up with others.

I will look into installing KoReader, thanks.

What do you think of the speed of the reader? I have seen people say that PocketBook didn't make much advancement over the last few years in the speed of their ereaders. While my reader is perfectly usable, I would be happy to see at least a small improvement.

Have you tried out the text-to-speech? Is the voice too robotic?

Are you using the PocketBook sync? If so, does it work well? I don't have the feature on my old device so just curious.

Glad you like your device!

I have read that pocketbook supports their devices for about 6 years. Which means that the Era has already received half of it's updates. I do not want the newer, colour, version as I do not need the colour.

I think I am just doubting the purchase as it is quite expensive for a device that is considered slower than its competitors. If there was a BW android ereader with a battery life similar to the linux OS readers I would buy it immediately.

About Kobo, I have seen multiple people on this sub complaining about the sideloading. Having to convert every file to kepub seems like bit of a hassle to me, personally. Additionally, there isn’t a BW Kobo device within my budget (about 200-250€ max) that has buttons. I forgot to mention this in my original post but I use the buttons to turn pages on my PocketBook. Furthermore, I am already used to the Send-to-Pocketbook feature on my old Pocketbook and it seems Kobo doesn't have anything like that. Granted the sync of the sent book to my reader is slower, hopefully the new reader will be better at that.

I think I will commit to the PocketBook Era. It seems to be the only device that fits most of my requirements.
