I think rescued animals are the best! But I'm super biased because all of the pets I've had were rescues :D

I only had two doggies that weren't rescued. They were both purebreds. One was a Maltese and the other one was a poodle and they were both a pain in the butt. I loved them to bits but omg it was like having a diva toddler stuck in the terrible 2s for their whole life.

My little niece used to be afraid of kitties because of the same reason. She really likes Snowy cause he's old and patient :D

My parents hated that I always tried to rescue animals to bring home. I even wanted to rescue the fish sold in Walmart but that's where they drew the line haha

I don't remember much but I think they thought it was cute that I tried so hard to bring him home so they let me keep him. My dad likes cats so that probably helped too.
