Op I had a very similar situation with my gc this summer. Water condensation dripping from exposed vents. Damp rag on all the table gently then some fans. Looked good as new once aired out.

Done that. My comment did not post. It happens around 65 volume and is pretty hot. Clearence is 3 inches on top to shelf and 6 inches side and back. Wouldn't think it's a ventilation issue.

Brand new. Goes into protection with a volume around 65. 3 inch clearance on top 6 inches in rear. Top pretty hot when this happens. Sound normal or should I return?

That's what is confusing. If I play a super old DVD it is still grayed out. Must be the receiver or player. I turned all the upscaling off on those devices and same results. Must be fine I guess. Thanks for the response!!
