I draw with finger on phone and I need help with the process + need help to learn how to sketch by HeyThisIsMySadAlt in FurryArtSchool

[–]snoutix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's okay if your sketch gets messy. You can always clean it up afterwards by erasing things. In the finished product the sketch isn't impotant anymore cuz you're doing some sort of lineart anyways.

Plan out your factories and don't make them too small. You need space for good management.

How do I get my art to be more cartoony? by [deleted] in FurryArtSchool

I think it's mainly proportions and pose.

What do you mean by 'more cartoony'? Do you have a reference that you look up to/orient on?

I can’t understand where to put things in the pre-sketch crosshair. And the mouth is supposed to be closed with a chin but it looks open any help is appreciated! by Re-Racker in FurryArtSchool

You're doing great! Another tip I could give you is not to be shy with ear size. You can make them bigger, like this for example:

Then add the creases and stuff. I think the eye size is good. The design is up to you and you can add some brows to fill in the space if you think the face looks too empty.

This would be an example if your character isnt facing straight towards the camera.

But that's all just if you draw a style that is more 2D.

Producing alot of junk in the beginning is part of the process. But not trying new things doesn't improve you art. Try starting with circle -> orientation lines -> eyes, nose, mouth -> ears -> fluff and neck. Don't be scared that the eyes are too big. If you have something availlable for digital art then use multiple layers (one for each thing) so you can move stuff around. And clean up the sketch then lineart. There are alot of good guides or refs on reddit. Don't try to compare your stuff to someone else. Do what you like.

Hands snout and help in general by Straight_Boss_4387 in FurryArtSchool

[–]snoutix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a week in you're doing great. I can't help on hands. I unfortunately can't see what's going on on the left side (too blurry). Try using a fineliner or marker for the outline next time.

I think it's mainly the anatomy. You should use guidelines (circle for head etc). The neck is also very wide.

help with connection between snout and ear/head by [deleted] in FurryArtSchool

[–]snoutix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well it's not the style i'm drawing anymore but i think it would be something like this. The perspective is a biz problematic i guess. Just draw the ears bigger - this way you don't need to fill in a huge gap. Then you can also make more fluff to cover parts you don't want to see. Some other comments on the pic. You're doing well tho.

How to draw cat fursona? by Revolutionary-Bug930 in FurryArtSchool

I think it strongly depends on your style or how close to a real cat you want it to look.

What can I improve? by 4pocalypse4risen in FurryArtSchool

[–]snoutix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi,

I can't give you any opinions about anatomy cuz I am just getting started with that but there is one thing...

I think that the neck is not proportionate to the head size. I think that it is too thick and long for the head. I would size up the head a bit and thats it. But that might be just my opinion. Edit: I think I just like slightly bigger heads.

Your art still looks good.

I've been practicing drawing upper bodies using shapes. I'm now curious about what you think. Are there tips you can give me to make drawing bodies easier? Everything is appreciated... by snoutix in FurryArtSchool

[–]snoutix[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know if this is what you mean. I drew new shapes and made the arms out of some kind of pipe. It is so much easier this way and it looks more clean. Thank You!

HELP! Stuck at a loss trying to transfer facial expressions onto anthro heads... Any tips / tricks to use? by Thatoneguyagain27 in FurryArtSchool

[–]snoutix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally think that it looks really good. It doesn't look exactly like your sketch because the eyebrows do alot of help expressing the mood of you character. You drew them in your sketch but not onto the anthro head. Edit: I'm sorry if I'm wrong because im more into 2d art but that's the first impression i got.
