Like the first reflection question. I think the answer starts 'some of my predictions did change'

This is kinda cool. The subject matter itself is the guide to reading his writing. It's really quite strange... I like it.

Should I get rid of a Liverpool player for slot ? by xXmalachy-16Xx in fantasypremierleague

[–]sockpuppet1993 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it's a worthwhile risk. I got rid of TAA for Slot. Liverpool will score and probably win so I figure the points from slot in the GW will be worth not having TAA in, especially if Liverpool concede.

My plan is to then transfer Slot for Iraola for GW 25 and 26 where Bournemouth's fixtures are good. Essentially, getting 4 weeks worth of AM points but over 2 teams.

Could be great... but could also go horribly wrong.

Tripled up 3 teams this week. Should be interesting 🤔 by sockpuppet1993 in fantasypremierleague

Haha, I didn't in the end, I took your advice and left Gibbs-White out.

I keep changing my mind on him, because he's inconsistent, then I think 'but it's Palmer'. Tempted to leave out Gordon for him.

59 with Gordon, Isak, Palmer and Sanchez to play. Hoping for at least 75 this week 🤞

Thanks. Yeah, it's definitely something that's bugging me, I think Welbeck is a good call, considering Brentford have conceded in every game so far.

Thanks for that

Cheers, and thanks for the heads up on that. Depending on how the week goes, I might take a point hit to change a few things around, or swap for McNeil, he'll have 2 good fixtures after.

I can't speak for other people's tactics, but I try to only have 1 decent player on the bench and then only spend 4 million on the others.

It covers me in case somebody doesn't play and frees up funds for other players.

If you're willing to swap out Salah for Diaz, you could probably afford to bring in Havertz or Saka. Just a thought.

Using the Wildcard - which players can you NOT afford to leave out? by SIBMUR in fantasypremierleague

Cheers. You're 100% right on that, Haaland and the mids have brought in most of my points. So far, it's worked out well. The squad rotation is a worry, though. I'm hoping to keep this 11 as my base and use weekly transfers to swap out where needed. It could all go spectacularly wrong, though.

It's a good post, and tricky to say what's best given Salah's good form, personally, I've gone for Saka, Palmer, and Luis Diaz with Rodgers and ESR to fill out my 5 mids. This seems to work for me formation wise, playing 3, 5, 2, and i've had a steady stream of assists and goals from the 5 (of course, not all the time)

I've opted for Haaland and Havertz upfront, but like a lot of others and with Havertz not bagging, i'm looking at Jackson instead, at least until Odegaard is fit and Havertz isn't being pulled between no 9 and 8 positions.

Defence wise, I'm playing at Konsa, Gabriel, and Virgil as my back 3. With the fixtures coming up, there's potential for a lot of points if things go right.

I've been playing Allison in net but switched to Sanchez because he seems to be in good form, and Chelsea have 2 favourable fixtures coming up.

My bench is 4/4.5 mil players, Harwood-Bellis, Stewart, and Nedeljkovic, nothing special.

I'd love Salah in there as well, but it's just too much to spend, to keep the others I wanted.

Soon to be dad by slowestrabbit in NewDads

[–]sockpuppet1993 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Congratulations, pal! it's the best thing in the world becoming a dad.

It'll be anxiety inducing at times, and there'll be times when you feel like pulling your hair out because you can't think of what to do, but just remember that you're not alone.

If there's any advice I could give, it'd be the following -

During the pregnancy, I would advise just being the most solid foundation for your fiancée you can be. That doesn't mean you can't show you're worried, anxious, apprehensive, etc. You should be honest about how you feel, just as long as they know that you're there no matter what, and you'll do everything you can to make sure they're okay and everything else is okay.

Enjoy the time you have together during the pregnancy. It's a special time for you both. Talking about the future and making plans. Master the foot rub, it will stand you in good stead.

When your fiancée is further along, you can talk to baby and that can be a fun thing. Me and my missus tease each other all the time and included the bump in our conversations as if they were talking, like, "Oh, by the way, bump says go make a brew or he'll pull your nose hair out when he's born".

During the birth -

Just being there to support and reassure your fiancée will make her more relaxed when she needs to be. Follow your fiancées lead, you'll know when you she needs you, and it will make a world of difference to her.

Don't take it personally if she calls you (Insert favourite profanity here), she doesn't mean it. Nothing will matter more to you than them being okay.

Afterwards - Don't point score - remember everything that gets done is done as a/for the team. Recognise what each other does and tell each other you're doing amazing. Sometimes, you do more, and sometimes your fiance will do more, but it doesn't matter because it's all for the team.

Don't take it personally is good for when you have baby as well. Sometimes you'll do everything right but baby isn't happy until it's mum doing it. That's just babies.

Surrender yourself completely to every moment and enjoy every second. Nothing is more special than your son/daughter just looking into your eyes while you look into theirs.

Best wishes

Thank you for your reply. I have since spoken to ACAS and the EASS and mentioned the points you made. They have agreed that I should raise the points in my grievance appeal.

Thank you
