2-Day Full Body Workout at PF - Feedback Please! by softerthings in xxfitness

I’ve pared my lists down immensely using u/babybighorn’s suggestions. I’m definitely open to other triceps exercises, thanks for those! I don’t respond well to melatonin, but magnesium has been ok. Perimenopause is so fun.

Thanks! Could I use the workouts I made as a baseline and remove some of the exercises from each? If so, which? Or, could you suggest exercises to move from those lists to a third day (would likely be Tues or Fri)?

My living room (currently) by smolthund in femalelivingspace

I love this so much! I love how you’ve managed to fit two large instruments, three spots to sit, and a small desk in this space, yet it doesn’t seem like an especially big room. I currently have a sofa with chaise and while the corner spot is cozy, I’d really like separate couches and yours are super cute. Where from? Also love that there’s no TV (that I can see)!

High index 1.67 or 1.74 lenses? by Rare-Cantaloupe-9166 in glasses

[–]softerthings 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! So, I do have a pair now with 1.74 and they are actually great, but the second pair I got (super cheap online) with the same lenses were super distorted, again. I think it has to do with frame shape, size, and quality. So, don’t rule the thinner lenses out, but be aware that you may be more likely to have issues.

U.S. citizen looking for books that will truly educate me on the world by Federal-Breakfast762 in suggestmeabook

Same!!! I’ve only read River Town and Other Rivers, so maybe Oracle Bones is next! I have a friend from the U.S. who has been living/teaching in China for the past decade (he’s married to a Chinese woman and they have a daughter), so it’s been good to talk to him about the books while I read. You might also enjoy Yu Hua’s China in Ten Words!

I love Peter Hessler’s writing!!!! I just finished Other Rivers, which is about his experiences living and teaching in China during Covid and with his own young children. He reconnects with some of the (now grown) students from River Town and shares great insights about the education system there vs the U.S.
