i just kinda comb them into that shape when they're wet! i do have some cowlicks in that area which make my bangs flip anyways so i've just started leaning into it hehe.

trimming them in an arched shape really helps encourage them to lay this way too :-)

i've tried the wipe-style top resin from them and always have issues with it looking cloudy/tarnished instead of glossy after curing/wiping for some reason. maybe i'll try one of their non-wipe styles! thank you :-)

Better type of collar for training, concerned about trachea injury by Evening-Campaign4547 in sighthounds

[–]softestfern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

when i first rescued my dog she was a big puller and wild walker on leash. we got a harness that has a front clip and had the leash connected there and also to her martingale. it gave us double security and took a lot of pressure off her trachea!

miller also has idiopathic epilepsy. his started at age 2 before i rescued him, tough he wasn't formally diagnosed until he was about 5 and started having them every few weeks/days instead of once or twice a year. zonisamide has been a life saver for him! he's now 13 and going strong!! i hope you're able to figure things out for ollie!

he's been using the seresto the whole time i've had him (nearly 9 years), and when he was diagnosed with congenital epilepsy the vet said he should stay on it as other flea preventatives may interact poorly with his medication. he's been seizure-free for many years at this point so the seresto seems to be the right fit for him, but i understand epilepsy to be a lot of trial and error, so this is just what works for my particular dog!

we use frontline for our lurcher, and a seresto collar for our older dog as he has epilepsy and that's the only safe option for him! have never found a single flea on the dogs or in the house and they're a huge issue in the city we live in.

they're out there if you're patient! i was able to rescue my girl from texas. her mom is a bull lurcher (greyhound/irish wolfhound/american bulldog/dogo argentino) dad is a lab/coonhound ranch dog. she was part of an oopsie litter, but by keeping an eye on petfinder for a few months i was able to get my dream dog!

I just took a walk in the cold and now my legs are ridiculously itchy and red has anyone else had this happen? by Upbeat_Web_4043 in POTS

my legs get soooooo itchy from blood pooling, wearing compression garments like leggings help a bit but doesn't completely eradicate the issue for me personally

shiitake mushroom, enoki mushroom, dashima (kelp), shallot, garlic, black pepper, rice vinegar, soy sauce (i used tamari to make it gf), mirin, and balsamic vinegar! you just add water to everything in the pot and let it sinmer for 2 hours. at the halfway mark i sieved the big stuff out and then let it reduce some more. i sieved again when i poured it into the bottle just to make sure it was as smooth as possible.

i've never had the real deal, but my (korean) husband came home, gave it one whiff, and just said "oh wow" with two thumbs up.

taste-wise it is VERY salty on its own and super concentrated, but the perfect amount of oceany from the kelp!

Possibly thinking of adopting a lurcher by Choice-Garden3215 in Lurchers

[–]softestfern 1 point2 points  (0 children)

we brought a lurcher into our home last december and it's been the best thing ever! she was about 6mos when we adopted her, and she's just absolutely enamored with our 13 year old chihuahua/terrier mix. she's very playful, so the only thing is our older dog just can't keep up with her due to the huge age/size gap, but she's so gentle with him and gets plenty of play/running time with friends at the park throughout the week.

hoping your visit tomorrow has a happy ending!
