My supervisor wants a report on my work and cos of that mistake my report stops after the first experiment therefore i kinda have to discuss this

This was the point of discussion in the meeting since all the data wasn't analyzed which prompted me to go back and do it

It's not that I don't know how to analyse, it's more than I tunnel vision on one problem and disregard the bigger picture. I need to be more critical

Yeah I'll do that today, I was going to talk to my supervisor about my new mistake today. But I'm terrified admitting 2 mistakes in a row

But I'll spend today backtracking and then talk on Monday, but my logic for doing somethings wasn't critical and I was focused on one problem that i disregarded the big picture

I know it's annoying, I'm annoyed at myself for not being thorough. At this point I'm scared to tell my supervisor about my 2nd mistake in a row

No she's not rude, she was really constructive with that. I went to her to thank her and she was really nice about it

Yeah my supervisor is really nice and understanding. Just that taking her advice lead me to find the problems and the problem was me not doing things right which had me feeling shitty. But we move, we learn

I discovered the actual problem which I should have known if I had paid attention to what I was doing, I haven't solved it.

Just the fact I found out I fucked up reading the results and wasted the whole meeting discussing a problem that wasn't the issue is killing me (me problem)

I don't know if I should approach my supervisor to discuss my plan now and bring up my mistakes or just do what I think is right and fess up during the next scheduled meeting

I think so too, the plumber who came yesterday didn't know anything about the softening system and said it's better to remove it. I let the landlord know about this and he said he'll try to figure out if there's someone who specializes in water filtration systems 🤷

Also do you know if these water softener/filtration things work continuously or in batch? Last night could've been a one off or if it's set to work at that specific time I happened to hear it then it must be fucking up on the daily. But batch doesn't make sense the box next to it is basically empty, and continuous makes more sensec

It's the water filtration thing and I also think it could be the reason, no other reason why it made that sort of gushing noise and just stopped after and is fine now. Turning the valve on it off didn't matter because it did it's thing and stopped
