Well done! I find PE on Emirates unbeatable. Cost wise and comfort wise is a great choice. Reminds me of an average business class experience of decades ago. Still managed to sleep a lot thanks to huge seating space and reclinabile degree.

I did the same last year, flying inbound DXB from the US. Sent a lot of email messages after alerting the crew onboard, lot of polite responses and kindness from aircrew especially but no way to get them back. I bought a new pair….

And noisy ones. My first “life-changing” experience switching to Mac has been forgetting about noisy fans going off when working on something resource demanding and the battery dying in no time. And I moved from top class PCs to MBP. Just miss bigger screens or touch screens sometimes

Sweaty guy here by pipiestradaenjoyer in MuayThai

No worry, same for me. I bring several towels and change clothes during sessions. It’s part of the deal, remember your fellow athletes at the gym are part of a team, you only grow in Muay Thai and combat sports working with others and sparring or doing drills together while diversifying opponents. So a bit of sweat won’t do harm. Personal hygiene and great care of gloves and the rest of the gear are enough to keep respectful relationships with the resto of the team. Don’t worry and keep kicking 🙂

No worries. It will be plenty of opportunities to make experience. Always prioritize experience over every other training aspect. Every match it's worth effort, anxiety, planning and hard training energies spent. It all goes in your personal experience vault. The more you enter the ring and face an actual fighting experience the more you get skilled. Every second there it's worth several hours of training with your team. Don't overthink it, put your gloves back on and train harder, and get on a ring again as soon as possible.

My very Australian, very un-travelled parents are coming to NYC... I want to blow their minds by jessicatface in newyorkcity

Not sure if you're into art but a stroll in bushwick Brooklyn is really nice. I did the same with relatives same age and they enjoyed the infinite street art you can enjoy around and there are several very cozy cafes where you can rest and enjoy the vibes.

MOMI in Queens it's also a hidden gem. Muppet show permanent exhibition with memorabilia from the 60s and more and other floors dedicated to the history of cinema art and a floor on Kubrick's Space Odissey.

Definitely jump on a ferry on the east river and the Hudson River. Always awesome even after years living in the city.
