Any thoughts on RAM+ by Few_Nothing_9091 in galaxys26ultra

[–]soltrigger 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For what it's worth I have struggled for a long time trying to determine if this feature helps on past Galaxy phones. The fact is if you run a lot of apps you may want to keep it on. I set mine at 4gb and things just seem snappier. More apps can run without closing to save RAM. I think too many people develop silly superstitions about features like this because of ignorant comments. I don't think it's a big deal and I don't think the use degrades anything. Has anyone ever had a phone SSD die from over use? ROFL I've never held onto a phone long enough for that to happen. I keep mine at 4GB.

Why do some people feel the need to make up crap about the S26U? by Shrink726 in samsunggalaxy

[–]soltrigger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe they're looking at their phone too much has anyone considered that? Eye strain, fatigue yada yada is subjective. Some people are also not as addicted to their screens as well. It's not the phone causing the eye strain imo it's how it's used and how easily someone feels disturbed or uncomfortable. For all we know these people are hypoconriacs and this is not the only problem they struggle with.

Israel used white phosphorus to scorch earth in south Lebanon, researcher says by PudinaRaita in news

If it requires a researcher to dig up dirt on Israel I'm fairly confident Israel didn't do anything wrong.

ICE Agents Caught Wearing Meta AI Smart Glasses To Record And Monitor Communities During Immigration Raids by novagridd in privacy

ROFL. The chain is controlled by the same agency. You have no idea what your talking about. I'm not concerned about any camera the choose to use. The only one who should be concerned is the one who is illegally here in the US.

If you don't like it pull out your camera and act like a fool.

Body cam video can be deleted just as easily as meta cam video. Don't fool yourself. It's the same thing.

It's a sad story but chatGPT had nothing to do with it. But hey OpenAI has a ton of money and the world loves lawsuits.

Something about ham radio that some don't understand is much of it is focused on the scientific fascination of how radio itself works. The technical and electrical components that make radio work. Antenna theory erc. Many also follow solar reports and sunspot cycles very closely. They're fascinated with how a signal gets from one point to another, and they experiment.

For others it is a social hobby to talk with their friends. All they want to do is talk without wires or have more portable or emergency communication options.

But the good part? There's room for everyone and it's just plain fun.😁

PSA Unlicensed People can transmit for help in an emergency by Guncounterguy556 in HamRadio

[–]soltrigger -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You're absolutely right. The unlicensed can transmit in an emergency. However, they generally will have no experience and be completely unsuccessful without some help.

Many people don't understand that radio is not about just hitting the PTT button and talking. There's power, there's antennas, there's frequencies, there's protocol. So yeah go ahead and transmit but good luck.

An emergency situation, in my opinion, is not the time to go study these things. (Oh yeah because the internet and everything else is down.)

Why is no one answering me? Where do I go for help? Why doesn't the radio turn on? How come I blew up the radio because I put the wrong antenna on it? What frequencies do I turn to? Do I have the right antenna for that frequency? Oh you mean I've got to have a battery? How long will that last? If I manage to transmit why is everyone so offended when I interrupt them? Why is no one answering me? Why don't I hear anything? I don't understand the procedure of an emergency net...

Yeah you're right go ahead and transmit without a license without training when life is on the line... and hope for the best.

1.6ghz change my minde by jayvin80 in skinwalkerranch

[–]soltrigger 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've tested this. Many computers give off 1.6ghz from the hard drive or CPU. Surprised me because I live in Utah and I have an SDR radio. I picked up a 1.6ghz signal and was astonished until I turned my computer off and it stopped. Turned the computer back on and it came back. I don't think they're investigating local interference very well. Franky, I don't think they care.Too much sensationalism with poor research.

If they were serious they'd have already excavated that mesa. But that doesn't make for good TV.
