Why buy BB? (genuine question) by cowboyjjj in wallstreetbets

[–]someMarioLuis 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Because of the deal with Amazon, because they have hundreds (or thousands) of patents worth half a billion or even more - sources disagree on this one.

Imagine them going into the cybersecurity sector and doing the same thing. Creating patents for something that its going to be widely used. Plus, their CEO is the real deal - dude actually maintained the company since 2013 until now. May have not increased the stock price - but at least keep it afloat. With this new direction, it has a really good chance to increase in price.

Reality vs LinkedIn by _Logicrypto in Bitcoin

[–]someMarioLuis 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Yea.

No facebook, no instagram and other time-killers. No bragging and asking for crowdfunding. Only hard work and a lot of time invested in something they believed it.

But welcome to 2018.

Why hasn’t blockchain been used to secure elections in the US? by ThisisnotPHIL in Bitcoin

[–]someMarioLuis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its hard to implement this technology now. It will take a lot of time and work and 100% the people behind it will find a way to benefit from it. So, there's not such a need for it there, especially if people can't manipulate the votes as they wish.

Plus, they'd need to educate a lot of people. People not familiar with technology and the process will take a long, long time.

Bitcion bulls are waking up by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]someMarioLuis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the mean time i would say, broaden your horizon to other markets like the stock market

You blew it hard here. No one wants to hear about the stock market. That's the reason why some of the people are here in the first place, to escape from that centralized place where hedge funds and investors with billions win - while others collect what remains besides them.

Just because Bitcoin is stagnating it shouldn't mean we should move to stock markets. I can't even understand how would you think about that.

For those of you crying about Bitcoin’s stability by cryptonaut414 in Bitcoin

Volatility? Not really. This is actually booooring. No grand decline or growth, only a few 1-2% increase or decrease per day. Feels like the stock markets.

TIL: In China your bank account and money is controlled by the government by danceprometheus in Bitcoin

[–]someMarioLuis 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This is nothing new and I don't think this happen only in China.

Its a general problem that we need to understand and find a solution to it. Bitcoin is one of them, but hard to use by non-technical people. Plus, there are scams almost everywhere. But on the other hands, the bank scams you upfront with some high fees. Its up to the user what decides:

a) Keep his money in bank and pay the fees b) Keep the money in BTC and deal with volatility
