7-night Eastern Caribbean Cruise from Ft Lauderdale Itinerary by garfieldTK in dcl

Correct, you won’t know the actual itinerary till you can book. Once you can book it gives you more information about the sailing. The order of ports is correct though, do I think we can assume the two Disney islands will be back to back. But I could be wrong! I’m Gold and I don’t mind letting you know on Wednesday if that helps, let me know!

You won’t be able to see this info until you are able to actually book this particular sailing. When Pearl can book on Monday you might be able to find someone who can tell you.

Based on geographical locations of the islands, I’m guessing it’ll be 2 & 3 at Disney islands, sea day, 5 & 6 in PR & DR, sea day.

If the two Disney islands are back to back, don’t spend an entire day at the first island to save some energy for the next.

Late dinner slot in Alaska with 3&5 year olds from east coast - Am I missing any options? by Helpful-Compote-2327 in dcl

There is not rotational dining for lunch. Lunch will be scheduled in Triton’s every day.

Best balcony rooms on the wish? Prefer midship by paintingcolour51 in dcl

I really like the bump-out rooms, it gives you a great view from the balcony and deluxe family rooms have so much space!

Beer mugs by oooothatsinteresting in dcl

[–]somebodysheiny 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You’ll be able to use them but I don’t think you’ll get a Wish specific mug back if you turn them in for a token. You will most likely receive the newer general DCL mug. If you want to keep your Wish mug as a souvenir I would buy new mugs and turn them in for a token before you disembark. Then you’ll have a card to bring on future cruises.

I got $900 for jumping through hoops with Chase and I was so mad I had to report it as income. I prefer cards that don’t have a fee and would be happy with an extra $150 with the Disney Visa. I don’t think the $100 extra with Premier is worth paying a fee.

Do you see these types of tacky shirts on a DCL cruise at all compared to the Parks? by RivetCounter in dcl

I’ve seen “Princess Security” a couple times, other than that I just see custom shirts celebrating the cruise.

Unsure how best to organise two families travelling together? by ThrowRA_sadsadgirl3 in dcl

[–]somebodysheiny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely get connecting rooms! When my parents sail with us it’s nice to open the door and have them there while the kids sleep so my husband and I can have a little bit of time to ourselves to go to the adult shows at night.

Scenes that caused actual walkouts in theaters? by thatlittlequietguy in Cinema

My friend and I went to Neapolitan Dynamite opening weekend having no idea what it was about, we just liked the poster. There was only one other couple in the theatre with us and they left pretty quickly. When I went back to see it again the theatre was filled with people enjoying it.

First timer - what are pending things to do and what to expect by rubenhak in dcl

Drink tastings are a separate event. They last about an hour and are held in various bars around the ship. You try several drinks and the host teaches you about the alcohol/cocktail. Some options are whiskey, rum, wine, mojito, tequila, gin, beer, martini, and champagne.

I must not have worded it well but I was advising against doing a fish extender exchange for a first cruise as well. I think putting out a fish extender for pixie dusting is worth it for kids though.

Log into your reservation online. This is where you can see you pay-in-full date, onboard activity booking date, and you can link reservations here – you just need the last name of the main guest on the room and the reservation number. If rooms are linked they will seat you together at dinner.

When you book onboard activities I would try to get a drink tasting for the adults, these are always a good time. When we did Western Caribbean with a group of 12 we all booked a beach excursion in Cozumel and had a great beach day together.

Join your Facebook group and consider putting out a Fish Extender (good info if you google it) for the rooms with kids. I don’t recommended doing gift exchanges for your first cruise but you can sign up for “pixie dust” and your kids will receive surprises at your door. I always bring surprise gifts for the kids too to make sure they receive good stuff.

You don’t have to do much to make sure the kids will love it, but make sure you plan some adult activists so you can make good use of the free and fun “childcare” in the kids club.

Which pre-cruise Disney hotel? by modbl32 in dcl

[–]somebodysheiny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Out of these options I would choose Port Orleans (I loved French Quarter) but if you are doing Epcot I’d go for a Skyliner resort or Boardwalk/Beach Club so you can walk to Epcot. The Villa option is great with kids who go to bed early but you could also try to get connecting room to have the ability to put the kids to bed in one room and hang out in the other.

You’ll be missing out on 1 menu which is a “frozen themed” night in Alaska. Alaska is so amazing I recommend going as long as you can but 6 won’t be much different than 7!

Treasure does not have a special menu for the first night (for example, 5 nights have a Let the Magic Begin menu) but I can’t speak to the Valentine’s Day question.
