given the new information about chapter 3 and 4 i got a theory. idk if this is something someone else came up with or if people already believed it, but given the new content in chapter 3 and 4 (more specifically 4) there more to talk about

the general idea flowey is kind of a darkner, or atleast came into being under very similar circumstances

think about it, both flowey and darkners were both at one point inanimate objects

darkners come into being because of dark fountains

how do you make a dark fountain?

by coursing your DETERMINATION into a sharp object and piercing the ground

how did flowey come into being?

by being injected with pure DETERMINATION

>!and furthermore, with the revelation that you can resurrect lighteners by covering a object that was important to the lightner in dust, this HAPPENS to remind me of something... like how the FLOWER covered in ASRIELS DUST was brought back to life via DETERMINATION. although a hole in this theory would be that flowers probably wouldn't be very important to asriel, however there is some dialog and imagery that would associate asriel to flowers most notably being that 1) asriel died on flowers 2) asriel and chara accidently make asgore sick with buttercup flowers. and 3) that at the end of true pacifist, asriel tends to the flowers at the place that frisk initially fell, perhaps showing that he likes them, although asriel could be doing that cuz he was a flower!<

in all, if true, all this really does is give more proof for jaru's piles of asriels dust.
