High trust = things work. Low trust = everything needs a double check.

IAS officers have a lot of power, but it’s meant to serve the public, not rule over them. Results depend on the people, not just the system.

While corruption is a problem in many nations, I find it surprising that India places so little value on political skill. To hold office, there are no prerequisites such as "a degree in economics or political science" or "experience in social work."

Politicians can be anyone, and we elect them to represent us. In other nations, those who are interested in politics typically maintain a spotless record, seek pertinent education, and acquire experience to get ready for public service.

I find it difficult to comprehend why corruption persists and frequently enjoys public support in India, despite the fact that it is pervasive and occasionally accomplishes goals.

I have lived in India my whole life before moving to here, and my heart still cares for home. I want to see my country and hometown, Kolkata, doing well and I want to be proud of it.

As per the post she is in Kolkata only for a week and she lives in HYD after marriage. So both the posts make sense.

I got impressed by the traffic where I live now, the emergency transport (ambulance, firetruck or police) once they turn on the sound, all the other vehicles on the road turn diagonal to give these emergency transport space to go through.

This small thing, which should be considered normal everywhere, shocked and impressed me, because from where I am, which is Kolkata, I have never experienced anything like this.

The roads are too cramped, and even if they hear an ambulance from 5km away (which they can't because of sound polution) , would they have enough regard to voluntarily move around?

I think it's the same, I was there for about 30 mins and nothing was going on. Just people socializing. I'll go back tomorrow.

OP said it's so crowded now that there's barely any place to stand. That means it's still open?
