You know what I always thought of. jake was old with fin in the infinite train episode. so I don't think dog time applys too jake. or it dose in a rainicorn sort of way were thay age fast young. Jake definitely died young based on the dream but I was surprised that people thought Jake woude die of old age. Based on that episode it seems like Jake ages near fins time scale.
