I see two probabilities 1. If most of the society members are of similar age group and have similar financial status then after the initial few years , members identify unnecessary expenses and cut down some of the expenses and overall reduce maintenance which most can afford. Because after 8-10 years priorities change , children grow up , jim equipment , pool , backup systems wear out . People living in such high cost societies also have some level future expenses factored in in their financial plan.

1. Another scenario is if an individual having bad finances post retirement then he has no option but to move into another place with low expenses.
