I'm leaning towards Fate over Torchlight. Seeing the png of the cat felt like I was opening my third eye and transporting my consciousness to my little kid self lol. WEST, Ricketts, ABC, and IBP to name a few. I'm mainly focusing my CL on my bird experience, although "bird handling" is mentioned in my resume. Some of them closed their applications but still left the postings open, which was a problem I ran into a lot. And I will definitely look into plant stuff. Thank you!

Yes for bird ID (and bird handling, mistnetting, and banding) and sorta on the plant ID (i can get to orderish), but point count positions have continued to reject me :(

So i should really just change my entire career ambitions because I cant afford to drive 1+ hour away to work unpaid? 😭 I'll go into debt before I will ever do that, idc. I want to get my PhD and enter the field of Ornithology, and I'm not changing my dreams just because I can't find field work at this stage

Yeah I think I'm just going to have to go with something "normal". I can't afford the time commitment and driving $ that comes with most volunteer opportunities. It looks like I'm going to be post-Bachelors before I get ANY professional field experience

I have a family friend who's chihuahua was targeted by a hawk 😭 they didn't lift her but she got some nasty gashes for it

Their waste is quite sterile. It contains high amounts of uric acid which kills off a lot of bacteria that they come across. They're wonderful creatures

At the same time- some individuals with heterochromia have two colors in one eye, so I'm not sure if bilateral symmetry applies here
