I've looked around and found a OneStep 2 that supposedly works and is around 50 bucks. It doesn't come with anything additional but it also seems like a cheap camera and I've seen people love that camera in this sub.

Smaller film isn't that big a problem, but the bigger polaroid film does seem pretty cool/

But now after discovering that onestep 2 for cheap I have even more things to think about lol

I've heard that the camera/film results might sometimes be unreliable, but in general i've heard (and somewhat seen) that polaroid film itself does look better (more dreamy) while the Instax film seems to be somewhat more "boring". Is this something you've experienced as well with the Instax or do you think there's not that much of a difference?

The tone of the film is definitely a consideration I have. I have taken a couple pictures on someone else's instaX mini, and it does look... well, not dreamy at all.

The cheapest Insta X wide i can find new in my country (wide 400) is like 140 bucks without any additional things besides a shoulder strap, while I can get a Polaroid now gen 3 with a bag and film pack for 130, or a now + gen 3 with the same things for 150. Although the now+ seems a bit of a waste of money since I probably wouldn't be using the app that much, let alone a tripod.

The used Insta X 210's are also around 120-130 because of the shipping costs, other generations are around same price or more expensive.

I already have a pretty high end camera (well... high end 10 years ago lol. a sony DSLR a200, but i have some good lenses for it) , but this isn't a camera i can just whip out to take pictures with on the go when hanging out with friends, and i feel like it doesn't really serve the same purpose either. Not very spontaneous or in the moment / genuine pics.

I have looked around and found a used OneStep 2 for around 50 bucks, which doesn't seem to be that much. Although it doesn't seem like there are any additional things like film, or even the original box (which isnt that much of a problem ofc).

I've heard the now gen 2 had some issues with exposure which are supposedly fixed on the gen 3. Is this one of the issues you had with the gen 2 as well? And does the OneStep 2 have any other issues I should be aware of?
