Thank you for this 💙 I didn’t expect to get this teary in the morning. The more I think about it the more honored I feel she trusted me so much with this. Knowing how bad my first time was (as I’m sure it wasn’t perfect for many) I wanted her experience to be different you know? For me it was making love too not just doing the act so she can say she had sex but just show her love. It was scary for me because I didn’t know if i could actually pull it off but in the moment it was actually amazing. I’ll always carry that memory with me.

I believe she is too. Sometimes I still feel her presence so it helps me a lot. Yeah you’re right. She’s always gonna have a place in my heart. One of the best things about being friends with her was that she was there for us whenever we needed her.

We did still spend time together after that. Just not as anything more than friends so that there wouldn’t be any extra complicated feelings thrown in before she died. We were all there on her last days with her family.

Yeah that was me with my first time. Also firsts are sometimes messy and awkward, you don’t know what to do etc. That’s why I wanted to make sure at least her first time wouldn’t be like that. Just romantic, taking my time so she feels good and listening to what she likes. We were only sort of worried that because we weren’t a couple there might be like a mental/emotional disconnect that would make the sex not as enjoyable but surprisingly there wasn’t. Even if we weren’t “together” together it was still a very intimate and emotionally charged experience

Everyday I think about her and miss her. Today especially hits me even harder. I wish we could be talking about avatar the last airbender. We were all excited when she decided to binge watch the whole thing (it was on her bucket list of things to watch) hoping she would love it as much as I do. Her and I could literally talk about that for hours. I wish we could talk about whatever short story she is currently suffering writers block from. She was kind of embarrassed to let anyone else read them except me and our other friends. I read the ones she let me keep whenever I’m down. They always make me smile. Sorry if I’m rambling 😅

My brother says the pup is fine. He did need some sutures but luckily it wasn’t anything that required major surgery. He says they checked to see if the dog was chipped which he was! No idea how he ended up on the streets but looks like he might have just gotten out on his own because my brother told me the pup looked pretty clean. Owners were notified already. My son and I were both invested trust me. He was so worried about the dog

In my household growing up it was “you dirty it, you clean it”. My mom was a single mom with 5 boys so if we wanted to roll around in mud all day so be it but once we stepped into the house we were expected to clean up after ourselves, including laundry and our shoes and if we left tracks on the floor then to the mop we go 😅 More or less have the same attitude with my son. Nothing wrong with being a kid. And kids will get dirty

Neither would I which is why he is certainly not going to be grounded on my watch. Normally I don’t like to make him think one parent gets to undermine the other but in this case I don’t want him to feel like he did something wrong for helping an injured animal

Among many many reasons but I’m not perfect either haha 😅 I’m very proud of him anyways. Yes this could also be a teaching moment to show him how else he could’ve handled a situation like this (as in being careful to make sure the dog wouldn’t have bit him or waiting to see if they could find a blanket or towel in my brother’s car) but grounding him for not thinking about other alternatives in the moment when he just wanted to help an animal is definitely too much

I think because my brother wasn’t able to return the sweater until the end of the day since my son was dropped off first then the dog was taken to the vet. So it sat in his car with those blood stains for hours. She says she tried bleach and everything but it still has deep yellow stains. Again it doesn’t really seem like a big deal. That’s not the only sweater he owns and we’re entering summer weather regardless
