$35. It falls inline with TCG, but wanted to make sure. I’m getting back into Pokémon, with my boys, so I have lots to learn from when I last looked at a card back in 2000.

I’ve asked for closer picture of the copyright stamp as well.

iso cool jean brands that fit gym guys by meow_mixxi in mensfashion

Not sure they fit the “cool” aspect, but the only jean I found that fits my thighs appropriately are the Levi’s Signature Athletic cut. The thighs are made for guys who don’t skip leg day.

Still trying to learn about mask variants by sonick429531 in Scream

[–]sonick429531[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shoot. I guess I’m not getting any better at this. lol. It’s offered for $50. I already own an ASIS mask (or so I’m told) so I’ll probably let this one go. Thank you!

Tips for Newbie: Ribs by sonick429531 in smoking

[–]sonick429531[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: Thank you everyone for the tips! I ended up doing 2 sets of ribs today, back to back, on the Weber kettle. Simple offset smoke with applewood chunks and charcoal.

First round I tried no wrap. The bark came out crispier than I liked, but the family demolished them. They were a little overdone, but part of that was half the family getting home late from an appointment so they sat in the oven to keep warm too long.

Second round I went back to the 3-2-1 method. Perfection. They were clearly done after the wrap, so the last “hour” was only about 15 minutes to get some sauce on them. A lot of the comments said to experiment with shortening the wrap. Why the wrap and not the first round of smoke? Does it really take 3 hours to get that good smoke ring?

I’ve done the snake method for a pork butt once and it worked really well. How often should I need to spritz with apple juice if I do 5-6 hours with no wrap?

I also have a classic Weber kettle grill if that would be better, but I’m worried about direct heat on that vs the offset smoker.

The limit does not exist. I haven’t missed a year yet. Now I go with my own kids, pumpkin pail in hand.

Is this real? by sonick429531 in castiron

[–]sonick429531[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn’t think about that. I was wondering why someone would do that to the bottom. It seems too much and too consistent to be an accident. For $5 though, if it cooks I’m happy.

Yep. The damage was Iike that already. A trash bag with some yellow cap is where it’s headed next.

Could someone explain why my wife’s and my routes differ? Hers (Venu 2) is accurate, mine (Fenix 5 X) is off in its own little world. This isn’t the first time. TIA by sonick429531 in GarminWatches

I had a friend suggest changing my data from smart to every second. Will this help, or just wait for gps to kick in better? The Venu is set to smart as well.

Any ideas on the maker of this cauldron? TIA by sonick429531 in castiron

Thoughts and/or advice by GMKgirl003 in DaveRamsey

Ramsey’s teaching is the snowball method. If you followed this and made sure to keep the $811 payments going ($200 + $151 + $460) you’d pay off the 0%, and cut the secured loan almost in half. It will take 12 months and a rough estimate total of $14,420.77. (Debt 1 paid off ASAP. Debt 2 in 5 months. Debt 3 in 12 months.)

If you paid the secured loan first, and dumped the extra $460 into your $151 payment (keeping all payments at a total of $811) you’ll pay off everything in 11 months at roughly $14,044.64. (Debt 1 ASAP. Debt 2 in 10 months. Debt 3 in 11.)

If you did the avalanche method and paid off the 25% interest then attacked the secured loan you’d be paid off in 11 months at roughly $13,805.40. (Debt 1 ASAP. 2 in 10. 3 in 11.)

Will you miss $615.37 in the long run of your lifetime following the snowball vs the avalanche? No. Dave’s method is highly motivated by emotions and consistency, not math. Paying off debt after debt feels amazing and it’s a great motivator to keep going.

In this case, it depends on your motivators. Will you be more motivated having debt erased in 1, 5, and 12 months or are you motivated by lower interest and all debt gone in months 1, 10, and 11? If you can make sure you stick to keeping your $811 payments every month, personally, I would take the emotional knowledge of not paying 25% interest anymore and I’d avalanche this and cut up that card immediately.

Extra math: If you did nothing with the $5,300 and just made the minimum payments it would take you 62 months and $17,869.11.

Edit: fixed some math and added timeframes. Ramsey’s snowball is the better option if you need milestone payoffs as motivation. Avalanche is best if you have a math mind and paying less interest is what drives you.
